Here is our final graduate highlight!

Hala Daghlawi is headed to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center after graduation. She is excited to expand her knowledge base and develop professional and clinical skills to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team. She recommends future pharmacy students take every opportunity they can to discover new arenas of pharmacy practice through rotations, work, shadowing, cocurriculars, and more.

Over the weekend we attended the ASHP Futures event in Portland. We were happy to have Marie Chisholm-Burns visit our booth!

Meet Sakib Haque. One of class of 2024 graduates, Sakib will be entering into the PHD program at the OSU College of pharmacy following graduation. His goal is to become a research pharmacist who develops new targeted cancer medications that are more effective and have fewer side effects than current treatments. Many of us had the pleasure of attending OHSU's Convocation Ceremony! Those in attendance had the opportunity to hear from OHSU President Danny Jacobs, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.S., Keynote speaker Dr. Sejal Hathi, and many others. It was an excellent way to recognize the hard work of upcoming graduates.

Graduate highlight!

Serena Mashal will be a pharmacy resident at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She is looking forward to developing confidence and competence as a clinical pharmacist, and having the chance to learn from everyone on the interdisciplinary team. She found her time studying Pharm.D. gratifying as she was able to see her impact on patient care, and suggests Pharm.D. students shadow as many pharmacists as possible to discover the many avenues that are possible with a Pharm.D. degree.

Congratulations to OSU College of Pharmacy's Health Services Pharmacy for celebrating their 10th Anniversary! We thank all those who've worked here for serving their community!

Congratulations to all the award recipients, and a huge thank you to everyone who attended the Student Success Banquet! Our students received awards for their achievements and even had the honor of giving awards to their peers and professors! It was a night filled with friendly competition, laughter, and cherishing one another.

The OSU College of Pharmacy is privileged to induct two remarkable individuals into the Icons of Pharmacy Hall of Fame. Congratulations to Michelle Murray ('85) and Michele Belcher ('86) for their outstanding contributions to the pharmacy profession and their unwavering dedication. We are also excited to honor Michel Daher ('13) with the Outstanding Young Alumni Award. These individuals have achieved great success, and we are thrilled to celebrate their achievements. Join us in congratulating them! 🎉👏

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Corvallis Farmer's Market this past weekend! We were busy, from free blood sugar and blood pressure readings to public education!

“We utilized a novel microfluidic chip that helps in generation of plumes that carry nanoparticles and does not cause any shear stress,” Sahay said. “This device is based on the similar idea of an ink-jet cartridge that generates plumes to print words on paper.”
