This last weekend we inducted our new members of Mortar Board, OSU Cap and Gown Chapter! We can't wait to see how they make a difference next year! @ Corvallis, Oregon

For the month of February, our Mortar mate is our president Andrew!! He's a math major who joined Mortar Board for the connections on campus and to give back to the community. Fun fact: he has biked the entire Oregon Coast along Highway 101 in six days. Whoo, we are tired even thinking about it. Congratulations to our graduating seniors! Here are a few of the lovely ladies themselves.

We would like to congratulate four Cap and Gown members for winning awards at the OSU Awards Ceremony tonight. You guys all did a fantastic job this year!

Wrapping up our school year we would like to highlight one more ! We have had a wonderful treasurer this year in Eni Nako! Here is a little bit about her:

I'm a third year Biochemistry & Biophysics student with a minor in chemistry and Spanish. I am also pursuing an International Degree and a certificate in the medical humanities. I am our chapter's treasurer, which means that I get to handle all of the money. This summer I will be spending ten weeks in Puerto Rico working in a local maternity clinic. I'm hoping to write my thesis about the work that I do there. I'm originally from Albania--I came to the US when I was three years old. I love to travel and I'm fortunate enough to be able to do it often since it usually means visiting all my family back home. My favorite country (besides my own) is Switzerland. I highly recommend visiting. I tutor and facilitate the student athletes who always keep me well entertained...so work is never boring. I love art of all kinds and I really enjoy golfing. I love food as well as Netflix marathons. My current plan for after I graduate is to go to medical school and pursue surgery.

Happy Mortar Board Week everyone! Mortar Board Week is a week long celebration of the founding of Mortar Board. This year is our society's 98th anniversary! Our chapter will be tabling in the MU quad this Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate. Make sure to stop by for some free goodies!
