Join us for the 45th Annual łatwa ina Pow-Wow! May 18, in Gill Coliseum. Grand entry is at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Doors open at noon. OSU’s Native American Student Association and university partners present this FREE community event, which features Indigenous dancers, singers, and a marketplace, plus affordable fry bread.

The latwa ina powwow is coming up on May 18th!
Indigenous Studies invites you join us in welcoming Deborah Miranda and ire’ne lara silva to campus. In collaboration with the kaku-ixt mana ina haws, we are also recognizing Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women/People (MMIW/P) Awareness Day through the event series. Deborah Miranda is known for her acclaimed book Bad Indians: A Tribal Memoir, which recently released its tenth anniversary edition. ire’ne lara silva was recognized as the 2023 Texas State Poet Laureate with her most recent collection The Eaters of Flowers being released in 2024.
