Did you know that we rent space for recording audition and portfolio videos?😯 You can rent a room at the Sammons Center to record videos or take photos, as long as they are directly related to the performing arts. This is Bailey Mason; she’s preparing for the Seattle International Piano Competition, and was kind enough to let us take a bit of video of her playing on our Steinway B piano in Meadows Hall. 🎹

The Sammons Center for the Arts celebrates on this Freedom Day the liberation of slavery in America for all. As a home for art and creativity, we wish to shine🌟 an especially bright light on all of the art and culture branching from the hands and feet of Black Americans in our nation that we enjoy on a daily basis. 🎨🩰🎭🎶
On this Juneteenth, may we all take the time to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy as well as reflect on the many ways we are still working towards liberation in our own society and beyond.✊

The energy of Boléro must be experienced live and in-person. You have to see for yourself why this timeless work is still pushing boundaries in all the right ways.
Boléro is a Bruce Wood audience favorite for good reason. It's sexy, sultry, and seductive, offering a clandestine look at late nights on the edgier side of life. Set to the iconic score by Maurice Ravel, Boléro has been raising heart rates since its premiere in 2001.
Sharing the bill with Boléro are SMILE, the jazzy and upbeat world premiere by Artistic Director Joy Bollinger, and the reprise of Twyla Tharp's glittering and glamorous Nine Sinatra Songs.
