This kitchen was part of a whole house remodel. A pre-existing wall where the island now resides was torn down. Taking this wall down made for a far more spacious kitchen. The walls were torn down to the studs to remove all the plaster and now the walls are dry walled. The walls were painted. Then beautiful dark cabinets were installed. A countertop was set then complementary backsplash was laid. All new stained trimmed was installed. New lightening was put in place and new flooring was laid. The homeowner was very happy with the finished result of their kitchen.

We were called upon to transform this kitchen. The customer wanted to maximize their space, so we removed the built-in pantry cabinet, re-located the refrigerator and added cabinetry to a half wall. We installed new Mid-Continent maple cabinets painted white, new Quartz countertops, new subway backsplash with a herringbone pattern over the cooktop. New flooring, recessed lighting, under-counter lighting and new fixtures were added to complete this kitchen. Once completed the Owners love their new kitchen.

This customer was looking to have another room for family gatherings as well as an outdoor space. We installed lots of windows to let in all of the natural lightening. To keep the room comfortable separate heating and cooling was installed. New carpet was installed in the first floor living room as well as this addition. Both of these rooms received a fresh coat of paint as well to top off that finished and look. On the outside of this addition a new patio was put in place so this customer may have a comfortable place to enjoy the outdoors. Needless to say they were thrilled with finished result.

We were called upon to fully renovate what was an unfished basement. Starting at the ceiling we installed metal tin panels to give a unique textured look. All new flooring vinyl flooring was laid throughout the whole basement. A full bar was installed in order to create a perfect place to host. The cabinets were supplied by the homeowner but our crews put them together. We painted the whole basement including the walls, trim and doors. New lighting was installed as well. Needless to say, us and the homeowners are extremely pleased with the finished look of this project.

We were called upon to remodel this basement bathroom. This project was a complete gut; taking the room down to the subfloor and wall studs. We installed a new bathtub, toilet, tile on the floor and shower walls, created a custom niche in the shower, along with setting new cabinetry and new baseboard and door casing. The dark blue tones paired with the bright white shower tile and white-gray floor tile give this space a fresh and clean appeal. The homeowner, and us at W. E. • Check water-purification and water-softener filters.
• Test the water-heater pressure and temperature-relief valve for proper operation.
• Clean and freshen your drains.
• Degrease and freshen your disposal using vinegar ice cubes. Pour 1 cup of vinegar into an empty ice-cube tray, fill the balance of the tray with water, and freeze until solid.

We were called upon to make the existing hall bathroom accessible. The original layout had a tub and was not functional for the family. We gutted this bathroom down to the existing framing. Removing the existing tub and installing a barrier free shower. The shower has a standard shower head along with a handheld shower head for easier bathing. We installed a new grab bar and a built in nitch in the shower. The floor was tiled, a new ADA complaint toilet and a wall hung sink for easier movement within the bathroom was added. A new ceiling exhaust fan, medicine cabinet and light bar completed the project and the customer was thrilled with the results.

Energy Efficiency Tips For Renters...

Phantom Load...

• The average home has more than 20 phantom loads that can add up to $200 to your electricity bill each year. Phantom load is the amount of electricity that’s being drained by equipment when it’s off or in standby mode. Devices that have a phantom load are sometimes called “vampires.” These devices have a hidden energy cost of which most people are never aware. Nationally, phantom loads make up about 6% of our energy consumption.

• Any device with a clock display, a remote control or instant on capability requires standby power. Here are some tips to minimize phantom load:

• Unplug fully charged or inactive items. Unplug electronic devices such as cell phones and mp3 players when they are fully charged. Be sure to consider if unplugging an appliance could erase personal settings or other data that has been programmed.

• Use a power strip. The transformers used to charge electronic devices are 60 to 80% inefficient when plugged in, so it is especially important they are unplugged when not in use. To save time, put these devices on a power strip that can easily be switched off. Place your computer on a power strip with surge protection, and switch the power strip off when not in use for an extended period of time, such as when you go to bed.

• Choose energy efficient products. Buy ENERGY STAR®appliances to reduce your phantom load for devices that would be impractical to turn off. The amount of standby power can sometimes be found with the product specifications in the owner’s manual.

• Lead by example. If you start turning off your devices, maybe your roommates or family will, too.

We were called upon to make improvements in this kitchen. The Owner wanted to keep the current kitchen layout with just some updates. We removed the outdated fluorescent light in the center of the kitchen and installed a tray ceiling with a center light fixture, can lights and pendent lighting over the peninsula. The ceiling was textured to match the existing. New granite countertops, silgranit sink, travertine tile backsplash and new sink faucet were added. To complete the room we removed the vinyl flooring and installed new engineered hardwood floors. Once completed the Owners were thrilled with the results.

The customer contacted us to update their kitchen. We installed these beautiful cabinets with a quartz countertop, and a tile backsplash to tie everything together. Before the remodel this homeowner had a cooktop and a wall oven, we removed those and installed a drop in range with a microwave over the range. A soffit was built to cover heating duct that went through the kitchen and new lighting was installed. The customer was very happy with the finished project.
