Regis University is proud to have hosted this year’s Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities' Diversity and Equity Network Conference!

The conference was an impactful gathering of Jesuit higher-education professionals who led discussions in cultivating an inclusive and just campus environment where diversity of expression and person are valued and celebrated within the Jesuit tradition.

The AJCU Network hosts an annual meeting each June that brings together colleagues from all areas of campus life to discuss the broad range of issues that significantly affect the education of students of color and the retention of faculty and staff of color at Jesuit institutions.

We heard inspiring messages from guest speakers and had many thought-provoking discussions on the most pressing current issues.

William “Bill” Fortune (RC ’69) has been a supporter of for many years. An alumnus and lifetime member of the Regis Board of Trustees, he attends Mass in the St. John Francis Regis Chapel every Sunday with his nephew.

Bill and his family have played a very large role in the Regis story. Most significantly, they were the major benefactors of the St. John Francis Regis Chapel, which opened its doors in 2006.

Bill recently pledged a six-figure commitment to help upgrade the lighting systems for the chapel and Fortune Plaza. We are extremely grateful for his continued support.

“Education has been Sen. Rachel Zenzinger’s top priority since she took her seat in the state Senate over nine years ago.”

We congratulate Regis alumna Rachel Zenzinger on nearly a decade of public service in the Colorado General Assembly! First appointed to the state senate in 2013, Zenzinger ends her final term at the end of this year’s session.

The final bill of her tenure in the senate was a bipartisan success to use surplus TABOR money to fund about half the cost of college tuition for qualifying in-state students.

She received both her bachelors and master's degrees from Regis University. Zenzinger was a member of the debate team, RUSGA, Alpha Sigma Nu honor society and was a resident of the Romero House.

We wish her the best of luck in her next endeavor!
