We just had our first Meeting of the Year!
Director Ryan Mulhall led our discussion about the ICN and how the statewide network operates. We also took some time for introductions, learned more about one another, and talked about what we expect and the events coming up for the council. Next month we have a special guest coming to talk about cybersecurity.
Following the events of 9-11, FirstNet and FirstNet Authority were created to establish a unified nationwide network dedicated to first responders.
Today, our partnership with them is a cornerstone of our commitment to ensuring seamless communications. Together, we honor the fallen by empowering first responders to save lives in our dedication to public safety.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our guest speaker from Iowa One Call for joining us to educate our Peer to Career trainees on excavation safety and for covering essential rules and regulations. We also learned a lot about the dangers of complacency and what can go wrong if we’re not careful.
Remember to contact 811 before digging to avoid damaging buried lines.
We have a for our Telecommunications Facilities Director position.
