DDOT prides itself on providing reliable, clean, safe, and efficient service to an average of 85,000 riders daily.

On Monday, September 2, 2024, DDOT will operate bus services on a Sunday schedule in observance of Labor Day. DDOT administrative offices at 100 Mack Ave. will be closed as well. Normal weekday operations for both services will resume on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Detroit is under a heat advisory! πŸ₯΅ Today, Aug. 27th and tomorrow, Aug. 28th, the City of Detroit will operate cooling centers from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the following locations:
➑️ Heilmann Recreation Center
➑️ Patton Recreation Center
➑️ Northwest Activities Center

With temperatures expected to be in the low to middle 90s Tuesday August 27th and Wednesday August 28th, the City of Detroit will operate cooling centers at the Heilmann Recreation Center at 19601 Brock Avenue, the Patton Recreation Center at 2301 Woodmere Street and the Northwest Activities Center at 18100 Meyers Road. The three cooling center locations will be open from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27th and Wednesday, August 28th. This morning marked the official installation of the first of many Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) on a DDOT bus! πŸšπŸŽ‰ Some of our DDOT staff and drivers were also given the opportunity to become CPR certified.
Training in both hands-only CPR and utilization of the AED will continue for our personnel, especially our TEOs, to keep us one step closer to our objective of enhancing community safety and ensuring our passengers reach their destinations daily.

Yesterday kicked off the weeklong mobile health clinic at our Shoemaker Terminal. DDOT and DFD personnel can take full advantage of receiving a free CT chest scan through this collaboration with People Health. 🫁 Many of our DDOT personnel received a CT chest scan and/or a check for high blood pressure from the Wayne Health Mobile Unit. Stationed at RPTC & JHTC, Nija & Kazha are set to play a crucial role in enhancing the DDOT riders' experience while waiting at the transit centers. 🚍

Our ambassadors will provide immediate assistance if riders have inquiries about bus schedules/fares, require help with routes, and/or wish to address concerns or complaints.
They will also provide DDOT updates when applicable and relay feedback from our riders.
