4-H Outdoor Wilderness Leadership and Service (OWLS) Program is a two-year adventure-based program designed to provide youth in grades 6-11 with intensive hands-on exploration in an area of interest associated with the outdoors. Youth have the opportunity to:
* Deepen your knowledge about the outdoors
* Explore career opportunities in the outdoor industry
* Learn outdoor leadership and wilderness skills
* Be able to plan and lead conservation efforts at a local level

Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF) is a 4-H civic engagement experience for high school youth.
For seven days, teens from around the nation will gather to have meaningful discussions and hear from prominent speakers, influential leaders, and engaging young people who have created an impact.
Minnesota 4-H will attend CWF June 20-27, 2024.
This experience is open to 4-H youth currently in grades 9+. Registration is open now and will close on Dec. 15.

BLU-TEEL
4-H has two leadership workshops being offered this February! Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU) is a youth-led workshop for youth in grades 6-9 that strengthens leadership, communication, and relationship skills.
Teens Engaged in Emerging Leadership (TEEL) is for youth in grades 10+ who want to boost their leadership skills. Becoming better leaders all while having a great time.

Let’s face it! As the weather gets colder, we tend to spend more time indoors then outdoors!
All 4-H youth are challenged to spend 100 hours outside from December 1 to January 15! You can get outside and play in the snow, go for a walk, do chores, go for a scavenger hunt, and more!
There will be weekly prize drawings and at the end of the challenge all participants will be entered into a drawing for a 4-H gift basket.

Where does the money go?
All funds will be donated to an organization to assist clients with costs associated with securing housing. The funds will be used to cover fees that are not covered through mainstream assistance. For example: application fees, birth certificates, IDs, etc.

The first annual Minnesota 4-H Outdoor Education Summit will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, at Camp Ihduhapi in Loretto. Come for a fun-filled day of project workshops for Cloverbuds through adult volunteers! Sessions will include Cloverbud outdoor day camp, wilderness survival, skull identification, environmental service leadership, and more! Adult sessions include SS&W wildlife certification training, curriculum training, and how to lead a 4-H WHEP team. Registration will go live Oct. 1. All youth in 3rd grade and up, who currently are or want to become a 4-H club officer, county officer, and/or 4-H leader, are invited to attend the 4-H officer and leader training. Youth and adults will have the opportunity to learn more about each officer position, parliamentary procedures, the 4-H meeting agenda, and how to ensure youth voice in meetings. This workshop will be held on Saturday, November 4. from 9 am-12 pm at the Government Service Center in Virginia. Participants will complete a variety of hands-on activities and food will be provided.
