Let’s show some love for our cats in need!
These felines have patiently been waiting for a loving home! Come meet them today 🐾❤️

Baxter - 12yrs old. He was adopted from us as a kitten. He was in that same home until he got here when his owner went into an assisted living facility. He has FIC and a heart murmur, but is overall in great shape for his age! He's shy and takes a while to trust people, but is sooo loving when you've earned his trust. He is very treat/food motivated!

Baloo - Even after being our Pet of the Week Baloo is still here! He also has FIC, but is a bit younger at 4yrs old. Baloo does not enjoy living with other cats, which we suspect is a big reason he’s still with us. He is so sweet and mild mannered. Loves to talk to people. Overall a 10/10 chill cat!

Moon - 8yr old bowling ball with legs. His parents loved him so much, but had to surrender him due to homelessness. He is such a love bug. He will roll around and head butt you for attention. A rare cat that doesn't mind belly rubs. An absolute unit in both body and spirit. He is declawed.

Lotto - Poor Lotto hasn’t had much traction since becoming available. He does have FIV, which we’re sure is a drawback. He is only about 3yrs old and is pretty docile, but loves playing too! He is really sociable and is always asking for attention. 100% a cat that will follow you around the house wherever you go.

FIV - Feline Immunodeficiency Virus
FIC - Feline Idiopathic Cystitis

🌈 🕊️
•A stray cat was brought to us this morning who was sadly hit by a car. Unfortunately he was in the active stages of passing - beyond the point of saving. Our medical team ended his suffering and provided him with love and comfort.

•This was an unaltered, male cat found on McQuade road. The finder says she recognizes the cat/has seen him regularly in the area.

•If this is your cat please contact us ASAP. We will hold onto him for a week incase an owner would like to retrieve their pet ❤️

PHOENIX UPDATE & DONATION REQUEST!
•We were getting a little worried when Phoenix wasn’t passing stool. After some medical intervention however, he is now on day 3 of using the bathroom all on his own. As our summer campers would say - “YAY POOP!”
•Little guy is currently having the purrfect mix of gentle love/enrichment, and lots of naps. His appetite is great and he’s still making all the biscuits. He’s getting a saline flush to help with the healing process along with his medications.
•We have sadly run out of our Snuggle Puppy Heartbeat Toys which bring comfort for our young animals without siblings. Currently, Phoenix is enjoying an old toy we cut open and put our last beating heart inside. We’d love to have more so Phoenix can get an upgrade; along with all the animals that will come after him.

•The Snuggle Puppies are linked below!

UPDATE
•We have a certified biscuit maker on our hands! The vet staff did a thorough cleaning and flushed over 200 maggots out of his body. The injury was far deeper and more severe than we originally thought. He is on antibiotics and pain medication to help start his healing process. Since there is no skin to put together it will need to heal open air.
•That being said - he is eating, drinking and seeking out attention. He’s currently asleep in our staff members lap and they will monitor him overnight. Now all we can do is wait and see how his body starts to heal. We are nowhere near out of the woods yet.
•Thank you so much to everyone who donated and the staff at BluePearl. His vet bill is covered and the rest of the money will go towards whatever he needs on his journey.
•As always we are so thankful for the love and support of our community. We know this little guy is too ❤️🐾

07/20/2024

•We know this image is hard to look at but we need your help. A citizen found this kitten in our jurisdiction and it needs immediate medical assistance beyond what we can do in house.
•This male kitten appears to be roughly 12 weeks old and we’ve named him Phoenix. Our staff is currently driving Phoenix to the emergency vet so he can have the best chance at survival. His finder has already donated $100 towards his care - let’s all come together and give this little fighter all the support he needs.
•Click the donate button below or send us a Venmo at AnimalAlliesDLH to help cover the emergency vet bills.
❗️Reminder - this is why spay and neuter is so crucial for controlling our pet population. This little guy was likely born without a home and has been fighting this injury completely alone.
