The clothing giveaway on Saturday August 17th was a HUGE success!! We gave away over 6,000 items!! Thank you to all of the staff and volunteers that came out to make this possible!!!

The free kids' clothes giveaway is happening now until 2pm in the Damiano Center parking lot! All sizes from infant to teenagers, everyone is welcome!

Another month, another meeting!
As always, we meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 11:30 in Mr D's Bar & Grill Banquet Room and welcome a guest speaker.
This month's speaker is Seth Currier, Executive Director of the Damiano Center who will have a lot of information on all of their programing and volunteer options. Seth will also inform about collaborations happening with other community organizations that tie in about people facing housing insecurity in the Duluth area. This can be a tough topic in our current communities climate and would like to answer questions or talk about concerns our local business community may have.

This Saturday from 10a-2p in the Damiano Center parking lot we will be having a free kid's clothing giveaway! All are welcome. Clothing ranges from infant to teen

A HUGE thank you to The Jamar Company for building bins to help our Clothing Programs! These bins will be used to sort our jacket donations by size making it easier for our volunteers to sort as they come in throughout the year!

We are excited to share that guests at Target stores cast 112,340 votes to Damiano of Duluth, Inc., awarding Target funds in the amount of $1,642.22!!

Thank you Flora for organizing this and making it possible!

Damiano is having a meat giveaway on July 10th from 1:30-2:30p
This is on a first come first serve basis and the meat needs to be kept frozen until use.

Last week marked one year of the Damiano Center's newest program, Safe Storage. This program has filled a need that was even greater than expected - in the past year, there has been a total of 207 people who have utilized the program, with 108 bins currently in use! Thank you to the ongoing support from our individual donors, businesses, community groups and foundations; with your help, Safe Storage and our other 8 Damiano programs are able to continue to provide much needed services in the Duluth community.

🚨NEWS: Safe Bay is re-opening for the season! If you are, or know someone who uses their car for shelter, Safe Bay is located at 206 W 4th St. Duluth, MN 55806.🚨

Safe Bay is a staffed, overnight parking area that offers a safe place to park and sleep, internet, housing support, showers, bathrooms and breakfast.

ALSO, Churches United in Ministry or CHUM is hiring support staff to help administrator this program, if this type of work is something you care about check out this full or part-time opportunity:
