On this , we take a trip down memory lane to honor the heart and soul of our organization - our amazing volunteer members! π
Remember those moments when they passionately dedicated their time and talents to find the good in our communities? From building playgrounds and greenhouses to working with and supporting the efforts of other community organizations, including First Witness, Safe Haven and the Boys and Girls Club are just a sampling of their commitment to the community health and well-being. JLD members recently celebrated 100 years of work in the Twin Ports region and their impact has been nothing short of extraordinary. ππ

Today we are taking a trip down memory lane to 1989, when JLD led community efforts to build Playfront Park in Duluth. When the playground structure needed replacement, JLD again stepped in and made a commitment to the City of Duluth to make this happen. Following two years of fundraising and planning, JLD, along with Northland volunteers, constructed the new playground equipment in May 2010. As we cherish these memories, let's look forward to on September 14, when we'll continue our mission to create lasting change. π Stay tuned for more throwbacks and updates!
