Congratulations to Mr. Alex De La Peña and Maria Hernandez! Mr. De La Peña is this year's recipient of the George I. Sanchez Memorial Award, an award given to educators making a positive impact in bringing equal opportunities to Hispanics. Maria Hernandez continues to lead her campaign for NEA ESP At Large with great effort, dedication, and endurance.

Alejandro De La Peña Jr. - George I. Sánchez Memorial Award | NEA Alejandro De La Peña Jr., is a special education teacher in El Paso, Texas, who tirelessly works to ensure that all students have access to equitable educational opportunities.
Happy Pride Day! On this day, in 1969, the Stonewall Riots began after police raided the Stonewall Inn, a LGBTQ+ establishment. The riot ended on July 3, 1969, and has since evolved into the Pride Parades we know today.
