“Your body has a knowing. Like an antenna, attuned to tremors in the air, or a dowsing rod, tracing things so deeply buried you have no language for them yet.” ~ Ashley Winstead Your body is a marvelous vehicle for attunement to your inner self.
It carries you through your day, connecting you to the outer world of sensations, alerting you to its needs and reminding you of your physical connection with the world.” ~ Laurie Seymour , Pay attention to what your body is telling you ~ when bad things happen, stress, and traumas will come to create havoc in your immune system, mental state, etc. this is when we need to find tools to embody alignment, to retune reset so we can move forward with a fresh start and more resilient disposition.
A line from poet Mary Oliver, “The Summer Day” is about the simple curiosity about nature and its creation , its living creatures. This line in the poem makes you ponder about life’s fleeting time. Acknowledges that world we live in is full of wonder. One message is to Slow down and pay attention and enjoy life, even its little things , be mindful. Perhaps the poet even invites us to figure out what you want to do with this life we have. Time escapes us , but life is precious, and it can be as wild and beautiful as you make it.
make the best Tuesday 6:15am Awaken Buti Flow with Norma, 5:45pm Rocket with Jesse and 7:30 Yin with Alex!

Mindfulness is of course an ancient Buddhist technique, and the valuation of equanimity is central to Buddhist thought. According to Buddhist beliefs, we often relate to our experiences through a lens of craving, attachment, or aversion, all of which increase suffering.
Buddhists understand equanimity as an antidote to all of these – as “a balanced reaction to joy and misery, which protects one from emotional agitation” In Buddhism, equanimity refers to a state of mental balance and even mindedness. It is one of the Four Brahma-viharas, which are considered the sublime or divine abodes of the mind. Equanimity involves maintaining an inner calm and steadiness regardless of the external circumstances. If this is of interest please read more : https://positivepsychology.com/equanimity/

in the summer ?! yep, we can’t help it. Yay for Prune hands after this heated class. Thanks for the wrinkly ~~~ Some of us just still crave infrared heat in the summer, which is therapeutic for your skin, cells, circulation. It helps most people reduce inflammation and find energetic equilibrium. Just look at some of our students who have been practicing Yoga ( especially infrared yoga 3 x per month) they are more vibrant and act, look, feel younger ! Tagging my friends who have tapped into the .bgv .aaronw
Agitation, chronic stress, and fatigue could be signs that you need to schedule some time for yourself. Or perhaps a little time from “that self”. Taking a break from the self which feels agitated, stressed, depressed, or just stuck ; you may be inviting a refreshed new you. It’s time to go do something that rediscovers the uplifted and lighter side of you. It’s ok, it’s not running away it’s just interrupting your self from being in a rut. By interrupting our current state of mind we can create space for a more abundant and creative state of being. Welcoming a healthier and vibrant mental health. Share this if you agree!
