There were quite a few pelicans hanging out this past weekend. I regularly drive past this spot on the way to the farm and often stop to watch them. They are fun to watch fly.

Slowly working through all the photos I took at on the Oregon Coast Workshop. So many beautiful places to capture! These were taken at Battery Point Lighthouse near Crescent City, CA and a nearby beach.

Yachats Beach 6.20.24

Thor's Well at Yachats was probably what I most wanted to photograph on this trip. The tide didn't line up with sunset, but I am still excited I was brave enough to get some shots!

A few quick edits today....Tough weather last night, but we tried catching the light on the Heceta lighthouse. This morning...finding neat things at the tide pools.

Not much editing time today as we moved up the coast towards Yachats, OR. We hunted waterfalls and spent time at the Heceta Lighthouse on the way.

Monday was travel day. We got up early to shoot on last time in the Jedediah Smith Redwoods on the Stout Grove trail. We then traveled up to Coos Bay with a few stops and ended the day with a sunset shoot on Bandon Beach. Lots of photos to go through and not much time, but here are a few that I liked for one reason or another....I guess I have a starburst theme going in most 🙂

A few from last night along the coast by Crescent Beach and more from the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park again this morning.

Enjoying some much needed photography time in the California Redwoods and up the Oregon Coast. Later today I will join a photography workshop for a few days, but this morning Claire, Anna and I hiked the Boy Scout Trail in the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. I loved the little nature surprises God snuck in along the way. What an amazing place!

It sure was cool (literally😉) learning more about curling and getting to capture some photos for Trey at the curling club. His team recently got third in the ND State High School Bonspeil Tourney!
