Huge announcement! This years Cross Creek teacher of the year is Mr. Mendivelso our Earth Science and Chemistry Honors teacher.
We cannot say enough about him to explain what he brings to our school. His teaching style is comparable to a college professor, he is patient,kind, and creative.
He leads our Science Olympiad Team to many victories and our NASA Tech rise team as well. Mr. Mendivelso does all of this under the radar never asking for praise and always when he is recognized he says ”It was the students”.
Sir this is so well deserved and the students are lucky to have you!

Here are a few I took today….I’m not crying you’re crying 😭😭

Well the last day of school is tomorrow and it’s been a whirlwind for the staff and students this week. Underclassmen hit the EOCs hard!! And the Senior Class ended their week of high school with Awards night, Senior walk, and their Senior picnic.

My personal favorite thing about the Senior picnic is it’s truly their last time as a full class to enjoy each others company outside of school together. Eating, dancing, playing games, signing yearbooks, and just enjoying each others company.

And my favorite part of awards night is seeing every Senior high lighted with all of their high school achievements and their future life goals. I love the ease of it. Families can cheer and students can be themselves.

I have photos from the picnic, but was in different roles during the Senior Walk (well blasting N’Sync Bye Bye Bye on the speaker🤷🏼‍♀️) and on stage at awards so I don’t have photos. So if you have photos of awards or if your students have videos of Senior walk please post below!!

We have had so much going on the last couple of weeks with FSU exams and EOC prep, but we had to give the students some much deserved FUN!!!

We started with a pep rally and the Senior class won the Spirit stick and that was followed by the Spring festival with relay races, food, dancing and games.

Then today the Junior class was treated to a trip to Main Event for their collective outstanding ACT scores!!! One week left of school it’s crazy how fast the school year went.

A heads up for our rising Senior class parents. Before next school year there are immunizations that are required by the state. See the last column of the chart below.
If your student has already gotten the required immunizations you can email: [email protected] your shot record or bring in a copy.
You must have the required immunizations by Sept 6th to avoid dismissal.

How a Fayetteville high schooler got science experiments into the hands of hundreds of kids A Fayetteville high schooler has brought hands-on science experiments to hundreds of Cumberland County Schools students.

Fall and Spring Festival are our favorite!!!!

We have so many activities going on this Friday that we are all so excited about we have relay races, dancing, scavenger hunts, of course food, and the spirit stick is up for grabs to the most spirited and creative class!!!!!

Please remember if you are checking out your child between 2:15pm and 4pm please organize with your child to have them meet you at that time in the office because the chance of them line dancing or being in a potato sack race is strong 🤣

Quarter 7 Report cards are printed and will go home with students tomorrow.
One quarter to go!!!!!

Parents and graduates we wanted to post dates for upcoming graduation and Senior Events.

In house graduation rehearsal is May 15th at 9:30-11:30, followed by the senior picnic.

The Senior Awards for graduate and their families are at Seabrook Auditorium on May 14th at 6pm.

County graduation rehearsal is on May 20th at the Crown Coliseum at 9:30am.

Graduation is on May 21st at 11am at the Crown Coliseum.

Students can check Canvas or email Mrs. Tart for any details they may need about any graduation events.

We hope everyone has an amazing Spring Break and get plenty of rest...the school year is almost over its unbelievable.

Good morning Cross Creek parents/guardians, we are wondering if you could provide us some feedback regarding parent communication.
We have noticed for events at the school we have very low parent attendance and are being informed from students that their parents are not aware. We do a weekly Sunday call with information for the week and have a website.
However, these are seemingly not very effective.

Could you comment below if you as a parent would prefer:
A social media post?
A flyer sent home?
You love the calls and get everything there.
You love the website and check in often.

We are just trying to find the best combination that works for our families. Thank you so so much!!

Congratulations to the amazing Mrs. Thaxton for being voted teacher of the year!! She brings in all the positive energy and FUN into the school day. It's contagious to everyone around her, you have to smile in her presence. She is loved by all of the students and the staff, we are so lucky to have her.

She is our not only the Finance and Economics teacher, but the leader of SGA, head of the prom committee, fun planner, lei maker, and champion at orchestrating random dance parties. Congratulations again!!

Flash freeze mob for Mr. Qually's birthday!! We really caught him by surprise..the students were all silent and frozen, then we all started singing Happy Birthday!!

He loved it!!!

Very important regarding check outs: The whole student body is going to the Lily gym for the dodgeball tournament at 12pm, this will make check outs take a lot longer since the building is across campus. Please try to arrive a few minutes before 12 or after 1.
