Take a glimpse into the 2024 Spring Commissioning Ceremony. You will see clearly inside each of our Second Lieutenants' lives, showing who and why they pushed through to make it to this milestone! Congratulations again, everyone!

Your team covers you in prayer, affirms you when you are doubting, they encourage you, they push you to the finish, they hold you accountable, they are not jealous of you, they celebrate you and let you know when there is food on your face,” McWilliams-Parker said. “And as you get older and advance in the world, although your team may get smaller, your Bronco team is for life. Count on us.”

May 11, 2024: Our MS4s walked across the stage to celebrate this amazing milestone that will never be forgotten!

Our MS4 Cadets will be graduating and commissioning this week and next week! This week, we will post pictures of our MS4s after completing CST last summer! Good luck to our MS3s who are attending CST this summer. This is a reminder that you will all get through it!

FSU ROTC Cadets were graced with Brigadier General Amanda I Azubuike, Deputy Commanding General of the U.S Army Cadet Command presence this week.

FSU ROTC Cadets helped set this “flag” up at the downtown Special Operations Museum.

MS4 Cadet Rosich - “It’s a great honor to be apart of this and difficult at the same time since it’s comprised of dog tags from the beginning of the conflict until current. It was an excellent way for cadets to give back to the community and honor those who came before.

Today, FSU ROTC conducted a leadership panel. We would like to express our gratitude to retired Four-Star General Michael Garret, LTC Pope, CPT Huffman, 1LT Mohamed, and 2LT Skahen for their mentorship and guidance on becoming great and influential leaders in the United States Army.

Congratulations and good job to MS4 CDT Barbee and MS3 CDT Wingate for their job well done during the Spring FTX.

During last week's lab, the MS3 Cadets conducted a hasty ambush and a raid! Here is a glimpse of the process!

Today FSU ROTC Cadets completed the Air Assault Obstacle Course.

Squad Competition during lab today!

The competition was a timed 2-mile distance. All squads partook in various exercises at different stations, with one ruck that could not touch the ground.

They were confronted with various questions that had to be answered and filled out on paper by one Cadet while the others did the exercise.

The Cadets finished the last station by calling up a 9-Line and transporting their casualties.

Eleven individuals on the Ranger Challenge team took on Sandhurst this weekend at West Point Military Academy. Consisting of seven cadets from Fayetteville State University, the team battled through 36 hours of rigorous training comprising of obstacles, events, and 35 miles of ruck marching. 48 teams competed in the event from all over the world with intent to bring home the trophy. Though our battalion team did not bring home gold, they put our school on the map and developed enduring relationships for years to come.

Honored is an understatement.

LtGen. Secretary Walter Gaskin, Maj. Gen. Rodney Anderson, and Gen. Michael Garrett, along with other panel members, discussed the previous generations of Americans who paved the way for today's African American service members, who now serve in some of the most predominate and respected offices within the U.S. Armed Forces.

Thanks to all involved for facilitating such an impacting panel on todays leaders.

Fayetteville State University today solidified its place as the premiere destination for the military-connected community by announcing a new Military Tuition Scholarship, which will provide free tuition to all military-connected students beginning Fall 2022.

At a ceremony hosted at Fort Bragg Army Base, FSU Chancellor Darrell T. Allison announced the initiative as well as the public release of a report that analyzed the university’s historic support of military-connected students, its services and performance compared to its peers among Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The report, Deeds, Not Words: FSU's Call to Serve, commissioned by FSU, ranks the university as a top provider of education to military-connected students along a number of variables, including academic outcomes, programmatic offerings, and a return on investment (ROI).

Additionally, FSU is placed in the top three percent of its peers for ROI, has the largest number of GI Bill students among HBCUs, and was the highest-ranked HBCU and University of North Carolina institution in Military Times’ 2021 Best for Vets college ranking.
