During the summer months, our hygiene closet becomes one of our most essential resources. As shown in the photos, we consistently require donations of all listed items to maintain this vital service. Currently, our greatest needs are for toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, body wash and washcloths, laundry detergent, and shampoo and conditioner.
Your generous contributions help us maintain this essential service, which fulfills a crucial need for our clients.
We gladly accept donations in any form, including bulk items and travel-size bottles.
We are deeply grateful for your support and the time you spend packaging these items. Your kindness makes a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank you for helping us provide this valuable resource!

Research has linked practicing gratitude to numerous benefits, including a stronger immune system and improved sleep patterns. It has also been shown to foster increased optimism, feelings of joy and pleasure, promote generosity, and reduces feelings of loneliness and isolation. On Mondays, we will be posting regularly scheduled gratitude prompts.
Today, we set our sights on taking one small step in the direction of improving life. It can be as small as making your bed, or as big as taking the plunge into a new job or degree. Whatever the step is today, we here at Connections of Cumberland County celebrate you!

As many of them prepare to graduate and embark on their professional journeys, we are confident they will make significant contributions to the field of social work. Please join us in thanking them and wishing them well in their future endeavors.

In May, Connections of Cumberland County enjoyed warmer weather and even warmer community generosity! United Way of Cumberland County sent a swarm of volunteers to help us deep clean the agency as well as sort and re-stock hygiene closet items. In the summertime, our hygiene closet is a very important resource to our clients. The work these volunteers did during “Day of Giving'' greatly contributed to our ability to do the work that we do. Sheena Butler from The Department of Health came and delivered items for our hygiene closet, and our For Goodness’ Sake, SHOP! enjoyed a visit to King’s Grant for their annual Spring ling!
We could not do all that we do without our community's volunteers.”
