Just a reminder our office will be closed today in honor of Juneteenth Federal Holiday.

Today we honor and recognize the importance of Juneteenth. On this day in 1865, two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation authorized their freedom, word finally reached enslaved people in Galveston that they were free. Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021 but has been celebrated for over 150 years.
