Traffic Light Issues at Blue Mound and Berkshire Lake Blvd - The signal at this location has been placed on red flash by the Developer for the installation of the Eastbound approach and associated improvements at this intersection. This may take 4-6 weeks for completion of all necessary construction to put the signal back into full color function. We apologize for the inconvenience of this as we understand the frustration. Thank you for your patience throughout the development process.

Councilman Blaylock is excited to share that he will be competing in the The BIG Wing Challenge on September 18th at the River Ranch Stockyards, all in support of the incredible work being done by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tarrant County.

This event promises to be a fun and fiery ♨️ competition, but more importantly, it is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people in our community.

As a Councilmember, I have seen firsthand the positive impact that Big Brothers Big Sisters has on our city’s youth. Their mentoring programs provide crucial guidance, support, and encouragement to children who need it most, helping them build a brighter future.

To make this event even more impactful, I invite you to join me in supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters by pledging an amount per-wing that I manage to eat during the competition. Your generous pledge will directly contribute to funding these life-changing programs.

To make your pledge please visit: https://forms.gle/sKJoheWexUHPwAtX9 .

Together, we can make a significant difference in our community. Thank you for considering this opportunity to support a great cause. I look forward to seeing how many wings I can eat—and how much we can raise for Big Brothers Big Sisters!

In collaboration with Mayor Parker and fellow councilmembers, my steadfast commitment helped to secure a no-tax-increase budget for the City of Fort Worth, prioritizing public safety and street maintenance!

"When I first ran for council, I pledged I would never support a tax increase. In 2022, the budget process had already begun before I took office. I was a freshman councilman and admittedly had a lot to learn. In my first tax vote, I was the lone voice for a no-new-revenue property tax rate (the rate at which your taxes will not increase, no matter how high your property values go up).
In 2023, I started early, built relationships, and achieved three votes for the no new revenue rate—progress, but not a majority.
I’m proud to announce that I, Mayor Parker, and all of my council colleagues have committed to passing a tax rate that will not raise your taxes. We are also committed to making public safety and street maintenance priorities in the budget.
This achievement was only possible with your continued support. Thank you for helping deliver this win for Fort Worth."

Your District 10 City Councilman,
Alan Blaylock

School Safety Initiative
"As we kick off the school year, ensuring the safety of our students is a top priority for all of us,” Blaylock said. “Whether it’s crossing guards, signage, signalization or pavement markings, we’ve made sure our school leaders have direct access to my office and the resources necessary to address their unique safety concerns.”
