We're thrilled to welcome Eric Sullivan as the new Deputy Police Monitor for Fort Worth! With a rich law enforcement background, Eric has firsthand experience in building and restoring trust within the community. He holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Emergency & Disaster Management, and has served as an instructor in key areas like Use of Force and Implicit Bias. Eric is passionate about bridging the gap between police and the community to create a safer, more just Fort Worth. Welcome aboard, Eric!

We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Sgt. Billy Randolph in the line of duty. On behalf of OPOM, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, the Fort Worth Police Department, and all who knew him. With 29 years of dedicated service, Sgt. Randolph exemplified courage, commitment, and unwavering dedication to our community. His sacrifice will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this difficult time.

✨Meet Lucy! ✨ Lucy has a strong background in Urban Policy Research, specializing in safety, health, and economic security. Lucy has investigated fraud, harassment, assault, theft, and policy violations in the private sector. Additionally, she has a wealth of experience in use of force analysis. In her free time, she enjoys mystery podcasts, video games, and quality moments with her two cats, Helios & Binx.
What does a policy analyst do?
- Talks to community members about their experiences with Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD)
- Responsible for complaint intake and referring complaints to Internal Affairs Section of FWPD
- Conducts thorough reviews of completed misconduct Investigations
- Makes informed policy recommendations to enhance the operations of the FWPD
- Completes extensive research on promising law enforcement practices to stay at the forefront of policy development.
