Rivertree Academy is an independent Christian school that serves the Como community of Fort Worth, TX
Our mission at Rivertree Academy is to educate under-resourced students to live life well by following Jesus, thriving academically and transforming their communities. Our school was born out of a strong, rooted ministry in the Lake Como community in Fort Worth. We are entering our third year in 2017-18 and will serve 75 students in Pre-K -
5th grade. Generous community partners come alongside our families to help scholarship our children to experience this life-transforming education!
Several of our students had the opportunity to participate in THRIVE through All Saints' Episcopal School in June. As part of THRIVE, students visited Cook Children's Hospital's Motion Analysis Lab. The President of the Medical Center, Stan Davis, as well as Fort Worth's mayor, Mattie Parker, spoke to the students. What a fun experience for our students!
Can you believe that in ONE MONTH we'll be opening our doors for our TENTH school year? That's right - 10 years of RTA! We can't wait to see all of our new and returning students so soon đ

Every summer, Higginbotham shares their interns with us to assist us in a variety of ways. This yearâs three college-aged interns served with us at THRIVE camp at All Saints' Episcopal School and RTA's summer school, as well as helping to clean up our preschool playground, organizing curriculum for next school year, and picking up books that were donated by a local church for our school library.
Higginbotham started this program to emphasize the importance of community involvement, letting their interns experience first-hand the impact they can have on their neighbors. Thank you to Higginbotham for always supporting RTA!
One of the ways that we encourage our students to engage in their community is by getting them involved in summer camps around Fort Worth. Several of our 2nd-4th grade students attended Fort Worth Forward, a week-long community engagement program through Trinity Valley School.
RTA students met other students from Fort Worth and engaged in projects to learn more about themselves and citizens and to serve their city! This yearâs theme was environment stewardship. Thank you to TVS for such a great enrichment opportunity for our students!
