8th-grade students did a simulation to explore the communication challenges faced by D-Day invaders as they landed on the beaches of Normandy. 

Paratroopers were blindfolded to show that they were dropped behind enemy lines with missions to complete and completely blind to what they would encounter in the air and upon landing. They were forced to rely on the intel they received as they moved around with no visibility.

Pilots were not able to move or look behind them demonstrating limited visibility due to fog. They were able to use radios to communicate but communication was difficult. 

Infantrymen could see the dangers on the ground but were communicating the specifics of the mission maintaining complete “Radio” silence and ONLY hand gestures.  

Working together they had to collaborate to build a shelter and clear a path using the limited communication available to them to hold the line and move forward with the Allied invasion of German-occupied France.

Our 3rd Grade Class visited a local nursing home to deliver gift bags and play games with the residents!

Our students made sandwiches for the North Crowley High School Panther Olympics! We loved supporting the amazing staff and students at North Crowley High School.

Word Surgery for Kindergarten and 1st Grade! A fun way to learn about compound words and contractions.

Our Middle School Science loves learning while creating! Several class projects this semester have included sound waves, constructing an edible solar system, phases of the moon, pepperoni moon craters, and photosynthesis in a jar.
