āThereās a spark in him Iāve never seen beforeā
Just a quick reminder about the chance you have to change a childās life in just a few weeks at Science Summer Camp! Lena Popeās Chapel Hill Academy (CHA) hosts Science Summer Camp every year. Itās a time when incoming 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th graders get to have 10 full days of science learning and fun.
But more than a good time, camp is a chance we have to use science to inspire 80 amazing kids to think and dream big. So we hope youāll give generously today!
One parent shared this after their son went to Science Summer Camp last year and learned to cook something in a convection oven that he builtā¦
āIāve never had my son this engaged in anything! Thereās a spark in him Iāve never seen before and itās just amazing. I don't know what you guys are doing, but keep doing it!ā
The total cost of camp is upwards of $60,000, but weāre asking friends like you to help cover important costs for the supplies, meals, and activities for each student to attend all 10 days of camp.
And whatās great is that a $10,000 Matching Grant will DOUBLE any donation you give by May 5!
Our kids work so hard and they deserve this opportunity to be challenged and to be INSPIRED to think and dream big.
We hope youāll be a part of changing a young personās life today!

Help us show our School Social Workers some LOVE during Social Work Month!
"One thing social work has taught me is to always give yourself grace. We strive daily to reach the height of perfection when in reality, there is no such thing. It is easy to push yourself or be hard on yourself but really, you are doing the best that you can. It is ok to make mistakes. Your best will always be more than enough.ā - Ms. Roundtree
"Being a social worker is a blessing. We can make a difference in our studentsā lives. We may be the only positive relationship that our students see, so building connection with our students is essential. When we build relationships with students and they feel safe they can confide in us about what's happening in their life. Being that positive resource and seeing the positive change in their lives inspires me to do the best I can in serving others." - Ms. Rodriguez
