Fort Worth ISD joins school districts across Tarrant County in opposing the Tarrant Appraisal District’s reappraisal plan that could drastically defund public schools. Students at Rufino Mendoza Elementary School are learning all about coding with the CTE department's robotic dogs! The classes get to create a short coding a sequence that gets the dog to dance, walk on paths, or do other tricks. They were also challenged to make the robot follow a path of tape on the ground. Of course, our students rose to the challenge with exceptional performances and had fun in the process!

¡Los estudiantes de la Escuela Primaria Rufino Mendoza están aprendiendo todo sobre codificación con los perros robóticos del departamento de CTE! Las clases tienen la oportunidad de crear una secuencia corta de codificación que hace que el perro baile, camine por caminos o haga otros trucos. This market is more than just a place to shop—it's a community effort dedicated to combating hunger and promoting well-being. Every second and fourth Thursday, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., families can pick up free, nutritious food including fresh produce, meat, dairy, and more! 🥦🥛

A huge thank you to the American Heart Association - Texas, Tarrant Area Food Bank, Parent Partnerships, and Medical City Healthcare for making this possible. 💚

From a bounce house and balloon artistry to face painting, arts and crafts, sensory-friendly activities, and valuable community resources-- there was something for everyone to enjoy. Your participation made it truly special.

On Wednesday, "Plant Fort Worth," a collective effort of approximately 50 Fort Worth churches gathered at The Paradox Church to serve our city and foster new church plants.

Thank you to Alvin Brown, lead pastor of Mosaic Church Fort Worth, for inviting FWISD Superintendent Dr. Angélica Ramsey to deliver the keynote address. Dr. Ramsey discussed how faith communities can benefit families in our city and how churches can support FWISD families and continue making a positive impact.

She also gathered feedback from attendees regarding the district's future. We appreciate the attendees for their continued support in making a positive impact in our community!
