It’s vital to address misleading claims in the race.
Some candidates love to cling to simplistic talking points , because they’re deceptively simple. The truth is TAD is not going to freeze values for three years. They still have to issue a market value appraisal on Jan 1. Your appraised value that you are taxed on will still go up as much as 10% each year.
Regardless of some candidates “perspective”, this is what the law says and the TAD board cannot change the law.
As your watchdog candidate for Place 3, you can always count on me to tell you the truth and work on real solutions. Let's move beyond a culture of deception and focus on building a fair and efficient system for all Tarrant County taxpayers. Vote for no more business as usual tomorrow, Saturday May 4th.
These TAD board candidates want to cap your appraisal. But that’s not what the law allows Here is what state law says about the ambitious changes to how appraisals are done proposed by TAD board candidates.
This is a great presentation and educational lecture from Chandler Crouch on how to effectively protest your tax appraisal. Thanks to Tarrant County Commissioner Alisa Simmons for the invitation to participate.
