We are excited to have classes during Spring Break! Explore and create with your fellow artists as we present:
Where the Wild Things Are.
Students will interpret the classic story and folklores of the world through their own personal journey and imagination. Artes Academy Teaching Artists will guide students in creating, designing and embracing their “monsters and call of the wild” through theatre, creative writing, movement and visual art.

Artes de la Rosa Cultural Center for the Arts at the Rose Marine Theater Artes Academy is honored to have local artist, Patrik Lerma, lead our Visual Art department. Mr. Patrik is another rockstar Artes Academy parent who is an exceptional artist and a highly creative art instructor delivering visual art education with a focus in sculpting, print making, stenciling, and photography.
Mr. Patrik's classes focuses on integrating multi-dimensional, interdisciplinary, and multicultural curriculum that links the arts, culture, and social movements.
This semester students will learn how to screen print, set and prop design. Students will focus on layered images to produce multi-ground work and understanding the importance of not just a centerpiece but also the composition of their design.
Saturday, February 4th at 12 pm, we are hosting an orientation for students and families and we invite you to join. Meet our Teaching Artists, learn more about our Spring 2023 classes, take a tour of the space and register!

We are thrilled to highlight our next Artes de la Rosa Cultural Center for the Arts at the Rose Marine Theater Artes Academy Teaching Artist, Sara Herrera aka Ms. Sara! Not only is Ms. Sara Artes Academy’s Education Director but she’s also our beautifully dynamic dance teacher💃🏽 Students will learn the fundamentals of dance in the styles of Jazz, Modern, Musical Theater and Contemporary. Ms. Sara shares her love of dance any chance she gets and her goal is for her students to develop a better understanding of dance history, appreciation and gain valuable experience in the performing arts. How special to have the incomparable Playwright, Actor, Director and Educator Rob Bosquez with Artes de la Rosa Cultural Center for the Arts at the Rose Marine Theater for 20 plus years! If your child has not been taught by our Artes Academy Theatre Instructor Mr. Rob make this year be that year!
Spring 2023 Theatre class will focus on Building the Actor where students will learn the basics of theatre and storytelling. Grades 3-7 will concentrate on a one act 10 minute ensemble play while our students in Grades 8-12 will perform original monologues. Students will learn to master skills in stage presence, projection, the art of memorization, script analysis and interpretation.

Artes de la Rosa Cultural Center for the Arts at the Rose Marine Theater Artes Academy is less than a week away till our Spring 2023 12 week session begins!
This week we are highlighting each art discipline that our program offers and the Teaching Artist!
We are excited to have local artist Lizeth Garcia as part of our Artes Academy instructors🙌🏽 Miss Lizeth is also an Artes Academy parent who brings us a wealth of knowledge and experience. Miss Lizeth will teach the Technology classes where students will learn how to use a 35mm color film point and shoot camera and create their own zines. Students will participate in a specialty workshop given by the photo lab department at the TCC Northeast Campus. Grades 3-7 will focus on Cyanotype and Grades 8-12 will focus on Photogram.

Yesterday some of our Artes Academy students had an educational and entertaining session from the Environmental Planner and Keep Fort Worth Beautiful Coordinator of the City of Fort Worth, Miss Avery. We are so grateful for these opportunities especially as our students prepare for their end of semester exhibits and performances on climate change. More inspiration to add to their creative process🙌🏽
