In case you are missing us, come by and check out some books for fun, summer reading! Reading is the single most important activity students can do to minimize summer slump. Make sure your child is reading regularly throughout the summer weeks. Engage with them about their reading. Ask questions. Read aloud together. Create a reading nook. Read on the beach. Read in a hammock. Read with a fox in red socks on a box eating lox! Just read!

Today, we celebrate the feast of our patron, Saint Rita of Cascia. St. Rita is the patroness of impossible causes, difficult marriages, infertility, and parenthood. Today especially, we pray for all the families in our community through the intercession of Saint Rita.🌹

The fun and games continued all week with daily competitions among the teachers: musical chairs, egg toss, pin the nose on the clown, and water balloon toss. The teachers were great sports and gave their all each day! Plus, our amazing Home and School and parent volunteers provided a delicious lunch and duty-free recess all week! Saint Rita is blessed with servant leaders who give tirelessly to build our community and create a welcoming environment for students, staff and families. 🥰❤

Today was the first day in a week-long celebration of our Saint Rita teachers! We started the fun with a friendly game of musical chairs. 🎶🪑🪑🪑 Who knew the teachers were so competitive!

What a wonderful 4H Project! Today, the students learned the recipe for pizza dough and how every ingredient contributes to the chemical processes necessary to make the perfect pizza! And best of all, the students are making dinner for their families tonight!

Our eighth graders shared family recipes at the annual 8th Grade Heritage Luncheon. They prepared lasagna, enchiladas, mun hpaat htote, pupusas, mole, pozole, gorditas, and more! Thank you to the amazing parents who helped their students prepare these delicious dishes! 🍲🍝🌮🍚

We will be celebrating our 70th anniversary of St. Rita Catholic School next fall. It will be our Platinum Jubilee! A committee of volunteers is needed to help run the event smoothly. At this time a 5K run is planned and later that afternoon a school tour and chili cook-off.

Families, please join us April 28 for Stephen Breen Spirit Games, the annual youth day at Nolan Catholic High School . Mass will be celebrated at 11AM and the Festival is from 12-2. There will be a BBQ Cook Off, inflatables, carnival games, flag football, 8th grade ice cream social, Sluprees, live music, and a parent social.

The Spirit Games provides financial aid to those who seek the strength and values of a Catholic school education in the Fort Worth Diocese. It also provides assistance to families who have children battling cancer.

Register through the QRC. It is $15 per person with a $75 maximum per family. You will receive a t-shirt which is your entry ticket. Faith, fellowship and fun awaits!

Due to a water main break on campus, tonight's HSA meeting has been rescheduled for next Thursday at 6 pm in the gym. Join us for information on health care plans and resources through Cook Children's Health Plan.
