Physics REU students organized STEM activities with girl scouts.
Taylor Spoo is defending her PhD thesis right now in SWR 357. She used the chemical composition of stars to predict their ages. Her work was spent calibrating this technique so that it could be used for a larger population of stars.
On April 8th, TCU – Texas Christian University went dark! Here is a recap of the total solar eclipse we exprienced. We spent 2 and a half minutes in the Moon's shadow!
Last week, our students presented their research at TCU Women in Science and Engineering Student Research Symposium. Our biophysics students are trying combat diseases and fight & detect cancer. Our astro students are mapping the ages of stars in our galaxy and tracking the gas used to make new stars.
