Today, 2nd Grade students in the Gifted and Talented program had a blast testing out their tower building skills! Here's to more experimentation and innovation.

¡Muchas gracias a todos por su paciencia hoy mientras perfeccionamos nuestro procedimiento de salida este año escolar! Hay algunos cambios muy importantes que tener en cuenta. Primero, todos los autos formarán una fila cerca de la acera y se alinearán detrás de los autobuses y entrarán en el carril junto a la escuela detrás de los autobuses. Una vez que los autobuses se hayan cargado y salido de ese carril, los vehículos ingresarán al carril, ingresarán su número, cargarán a sus estudiantes y saldrán inmediatamente del estacionamiento en lugar de dar la vuelta al estacionamiento. Vea la foto adjunta o la foto en Class Dojo como referencia. Los caminantes y los que viajan en la guardería esperarán en el Auditorio hasta que un miembro del personal los acompañe y caminen hasta los extremos designados del campus. Por último, si aún no lo ha hecho, verifique la mochila y/o carpeta de sus estudiantes para ver si tienen la etiqueta de auto si viajan en auto. Good evening WM Green Families,

Thank you all so much for your patience today as we refine our Dismissal procedure this school year! There are some very important changes to note. First, all cars will make one line closest to the curb and line up behind the buses and entering the lane next to the school behind the buses. Once buses have loaded and exited that lane, vehicles will enter the lane, have their number entered, load their students, and immediately exit out the parking rather than going around the parking lot. Please see the attached photo or photo in Class Dojo for reference. Walkers and Day Care Riders will wait in the Auditorium until they are escorted by a staff member and walked to their designated ends of the campus. Lastly, if you have not already done so, please check your students backpack and/or folder for their Car Tag if they are a Car Rider. We are hopeful that this new procedure will speed up the Carline a great deal. Again, thank you for your patience, and I look forward to your continued feedback throughout the school year!

We look forward to seeing you all on the 1st day of school, Tuesday, August 13th, 2024. Doors will open at 7:40 am, and families will be allowed to walk their students to class on the 1st day. All school supplies are being provided for students via a generous donation from Texas YES. If you have not already registered your student, which is required each school year, there is still time to come to the campus on Monday, August 12th, 2024 from 8 am to 3 pm to enroll your student before the 1st day of classes.

The Fort Worth ISD is pleased to announce that it will offer free breakfast and lunch to all children from Wednesday, June 5 through Tuesday, July 2. Meals will be available Mondays-Thursdays.

The program is open to all children age 18 or younger who wish to receive a free meal and does not require enrollment in any summer program.

In addition to the summer food program, Fort Worth ISD will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to students during the 2024-25 school year.

Dear W.M. Green families,

Our hearts are heavy as we were informed Saturday morning Ms. Kaylor Massington, a beloved teacher at W.M. Green Elementary passed away this weekend. Mrs. Massington was a valued team member who proudly served the campus and cared deeply for our students. We extend our love and sympathy to their family during this time.

This is an emotional time for us all, and experiencing a loss is always difficult to understand for students and staff. Additional counseling staff will be accessible on campus today to provide support during this time. We encourage you to be attentive and listen to your students and look for possible signs that they may need additional help.

Thank you for your continued support of W.M. Green Elementary. If you or your student need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the main office at 817-815-8900.

Once again, our thoughts are with the family and the entire school community.
