Everyone should have access to trauma-informed ACEs screening by health care providers they trust. Because community health workers (CHWs) and doulas are the trusted providers for many people, AB 2110 authorizes them to receive Medi-Cal reimbursement for providing ACEs screenings.
Join us on March 8 in beautiful Downtown Fresno! Seats are limited to 55 so reserve your seat now. We will share the initial results from focus group discussions with Community Health Workers (CHWs) shedding light on the hurdles encountered by our Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community in accessing mental health services. Your experiences matter. Share your personal challenges in accessing mental health services to enrich our understanding and help us enact effective changes. Be a part of this crucial conversation. We hope to see you there!

βοΈπ΄ July is UV Safety Awareness Month! π΄βοΈ
Let's soak up the summer vibes while keeping our skin safe from harmful UV rays.
Here are some quick tips to protect yourself during these sunny days:
1οΈβ£ Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher generously on all exposed skin. Don't forget those easily overlooked spots like your ears, neck, and the back of your hands. Reapply every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating. π§΄ποΈ
2οΈβ£ Seek shade during peak sunlight hours. The sun's rays are strongest between 10 am and 4 pm, so try to stay in the shade or create your own with a cute beach umbrella. ππ΄
3οΈβ£ Rock those stylish shades! Protect your eyes from UV damage by wearing sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays. ππΆοΈ
Remember, summer memories are best made with a sun-kissed glow and healthy skin! Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine responsibly. ππ
