We're thrilled to introduce Brandon Porter, an alum who has recently joined our team as the new Marketing Specialist in the Office of Continuing Education!

👨‍💼 Role & Responsibilities: Brandon's primary role is to develop marketing strategies, coordinate campaigns, conduct market research, and analyze data for our Continuing Education department.

💼 Passion & Motivation: Brandon is passionate about the intersection of creativity and purpose in advertising and marketing. He finds fulfillment in connecting with people and believes that marketing is fundamentally about relationships and understanding human behavior.

🏆Milestones & Achievements: Brandon's proudest moments include earning his MA in Advertising & Branded Media from The Academy of Art University and becoming a father to his baby girl, Carson.

🎓 FPU Experience: Brandon credits FPU for equipping him with invaluable skills and values, thanks to professors like Adam Schrag and Billie Jean Wiebe, who challenged his thinking academically, personally, and spiritually.

Brandon encourages current students and recent graduates not to fear failure but to remain teachable and dedicated to growth. He believes that perseverance and a willingness to learn can lead to remarkable achievements.

🌟 : Meet Devann McClellan (BA '14), a passionate Program Analyst focusing on youth-specific prevention for alcohol and drug use! Devann oversees mini-grants aimed at promoting youth voice and community awareness about the dangers of underage drinking and gambling across California. Her role involves mentoring coaches to facilitate youth programs, conduct trainings, create educational materials, and organize statewide conferences to promote youth prevention efforts.

🎓 Reflecting on her journey since graduating from FPU, Devann's career has been marked by courage and servant leadership. Inspired by mentors like Dr. Suzana Dobric Veiss and transformative experiences during her master's program, Devann transitioned from a successful career in insurance to pursue her passion for prevention work. Her proudest achievement? Making a positive impact in the lives of young people and helping them navigate challenges she once faced.

💼 Devann credits her experience at for shaping her professional journey, instilling values of self-worth, empowerment, and community outreach. Skills learned in the Strategic and Organizational Leadership program equipped her with confidence, public speaking abilities, and the drive to turn concepts into action.

🌟 : Meet Joy Ndombeson (BA '17), currently serving as the Creative Pastor at VIA Church. Joy oversees, casts vision, and provides direction for various creative teams, including dancers, musicians, videographers, and more, for the Sunday Experience and special productions like Christmas Productions.

🎓 Reflecting on his journey since graduating from , Joy counts becoming a husband and father among his proudest achievements. He's also produced numerous dance videos, directed the short film "SIMU," previewed his musical "In Color," and held positions as creative director for tech company Godonut and marketing director for Break The Barriers.

💼 Joy credits his FPU experience for shaping his professional journey, highlighting guidance from professors and skills gained in networking, public speaking, arts training, and business and marketing courses.

🎨 Passionate about storytelling, Joy finds motivation in sharing impactful narratives, particularly the story of faith. His advice to current students and graduates? "Find an anchor," he says. "No matter how much you prepare, life after college can be challenging. Have something to hold onto—mine has been faith and community."
