“My journey in Friendswood ISD started back in 1990 at Cline Elementary. I had so many great educators who shaped who I am as a person and an educator. I remember sitting in Mrs. Sheri LaBorde Barber’s Kinder class for circle time and her teaching me how to read. I remember countless hours of precious lessons on the court or field with Debbie Hall Rogers and Tammy Pipkin Bock. This is just to name a few. I feel proud to be a part of the 85th season in Friendswood ISD and I still feel a passion to learn and grow, just like I did back in 1990. Go Mustangs! ”

🍎With school starting this coming Tuesday for Friendswood ISD and Wednesday for Clear Creek ISD, the Friendswood Police Department wanted to remind drivers what to do when buses stop.🛑

🚌Texas State law requires that drivers stop when a school bus is operating a visual signal-either red flashing lights or extended stop arm (TRC 545.066). Here are a few guidelines on what to do when a bus is stopped.

The Friendswood Police Department is participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Tip-A-Cop event this Thursday, July 25, from 5 to 9 PM. This event will support Special Olympics Texas by allowing officers to serve the community in a new way, at their dinner table. Guests at the Texas Roadhouse located at 18194 Gulf Frwy, will have the opportunity to be served by officers from several local agencies for a wonderful cause.

Special Olympics Texas provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Your support makes a significant impact in their lives. Hope to see you there!
