Traditional plication techniques have been ineffective in addressing the anterior midface when compared to the sub–superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) “deep plane” approaches. However, by moving the plication much closer to the mobile medial fat tissues, a more effective and long-lasting plication can be accomplished without releasing the SMAS layer.⁠

The authors’ “Delta facelift” approach combines a rotation vertical advancement of the midface fat with a dual-vector platysmaplasty and deep cervicoplasty as indicated for a harmoniously youthful neck.⁠

Three-dimensional facial stereophotogrammetry, a convenient, noninvasive and highly reliable evaluation tool, has in recent years shown great potential in plastic surgery for preoperative planning and evaluating treatment efficacy. However, it requires manual identification of facial landmarks by trained evaluators to obtain anthropometric data, which takes much time and effort. Automatic 3D facial landmark localization has the potential to facilitate fast data acquisition and eliminate evaluator error.

Objectives
The aim of this work was to describe a novel deep-learning method based on dimension transformation and key-point detection for automated 3D perioral landmark annotation.

The volume and position of the buccal fat pad (BFP) change with age, which manifests as a hollow midface. Previous studies showed that autologous fat grafting for BFP augmentation could effectively ameliorate midfacial hollowing.⁠

Minimally invasive procedures that deliver thermal energy to subcutaneous tissue offer a solution when deciding between excisional and noninvasive options to address face and neck aging-related changes. Reducing absorption after autologous fat grafting is a current challenge. Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) is the strongest known catalyst of redox reactions, which can scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS) and alleviate oxidative stress.

Objectives
The aim of this study was to establish an in vivo model of PQQ-assisted lipotransfer and clarify the role of PQQ in reducing oxidative stress, alleviating apoptosis, and promoting angiogenesis during the acute hypoxic phase after grafting. In addition the study was performed to assess whether this intervention would have a positive effect on the improvement of long-term volume retention.

Postrhytidectomy hemifacial paralysis is a frightening clinical condition affecting the proximal facial nerve and most often associated with Bell's palsy. Associated symptoms are common and include auditory, salivary, vestibular, and gustatory complaints.

Gluteal augmentation with autologous fat transfer is one of the fastest growing aesthetic surgical procedures worldwide over the past decade. However, this procedure can be associated with high mortality from fatal pulmonary fat embolism events caused by intramuscular injection of fat. Ultrasound-guided fat grafting allows visualization of the transfer in the subcutaneous space, avoiding intramuscular injection.

The popularity of labiaplasty has increased over the last decade and patients consistently report high levels of satisfaction with outcomes. Specifically, patients generally experience improved sexual satisfaction, but there is very limited research on the impacts on intimate relationships more broadly, even though these experiences are often crucial to women's lives.

Objectives
The aim of this study was to conduct an in-depth qualitative exploration of the impacts of labiaplasty on intimate relationship quality. Qualitative semistructured telephone interviews were conducted with adult women (n = 15), who had undergone labiaplasty between 1 and 72 months previously (mean [standard deviation], 28.1 [24.3] months). Participants were asked about any perceived changes to their intimate relationships and how labiaplasty may have influenced those changes (if any). Thematic analysis of the transcribed interview data was performed.

Breast implant–associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma first linked with breast implants in 2011. The correlation between BIA-ALCL and textured devices has led to increased use of smooth devices. "Silicone Shell Breast Implants in Patients Undergoing Risk-Reducing Mastectomy With a History of Breast-Conserving Surgery and Adjuvant Radiotherapy: A Long-term Study"

Indications for breast-conserving surgery and adjuvant radiotherapy (BCSAR) in patients with breast carcinoma are increasing, as are indications for risk-reducing mastectomy (RRM) in healthy subjects. Most of these cases are reconstructed with silicone shell breast implants (SSBIs).
