Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day!
Elder abuse is a global issue that affects millions of older adults every year. On this day, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated would like to raise awareness about the mistreatment and neglect of our elders and work towards creating a world where they are respected, valued, and protected.
Let’s stand together to prevent elder abuse by educating ourselves, supporting our elderly community members, and advocating for their rights. Share this post to spread the message and show your support!

We believe that celebrating Pride Month is a time to amplify LGBTQIA + rights and center the voices of those whose stories often go unheard. We also believe that we each have the right to love who we love, all year round - not just in June. Pride Month serves as a reminder that love knows no boundaries and that every individual deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Since our inception, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated has been concerned with the issues of the day. For over 104 years, we have worked to be a voice for the underserved and support marginalized communities.
Join us as we continue to lean in, as we continue to actively listen and as we continue to learn. Stand with us as we use this month to consistently educate ourselves, become better allies and celebrate the resilience and brilliance of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is partnering with Project Period for our 2024 Grand Boulé Zetas Helping Other People Excel (Z-HOPE™) initiative! Period poverty involves a range of challenges related to social, health, and economic injustices that have caused inadequate access to menstrual hygiene tools and education.
This issue goes beyond lacking menstrual products; it also includes limited access to proper washing facilities, hygienic waste management solutions, and comprehensive education about menstrual health.
Our project aims to combat period poverty in our communities, starting with Indianapolis, Indiana, and expanding nationwide. Project Period Indy will help keep young girls in school, promote healthy menstrual hygiene, provide period prep products and education, and support self-care. Together, we strive to normalize the conversation around periods to eliminate the associated stigma.
Support our initiative by donating at [https://zphib1920.org/fundraisinginitiatives](https://zphib1920.org/fundraising-initiatives) and help us donate 10,000 feminine hygiene boxes to support menstrual health.
About Project Period
Founded in January 2017 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Project Period was created to address the alarming rates of period poverty in Indiana. The organization manages administrative functions and product distribution to serve 8 school districts, 26 unique schools, and 16 community-based organizations through their Pink Quarterly Club program. Their mission is to partner with schools and community organizations in Central Indiana and surrounding counties to provide free menstrual hygiene products in underserved communities. Their vision is to ensure individuals do not go without the necessary products to live a fulfilling and healthy life.

Today, families worldwide have an empty seat at their dinner table because a family member made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our country’s freedom.
Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten. Today, we pause to reflect on their selflessness and the profound impact they’ve had on our nation, and their families who bear the burden of their absence

Over the past 10 years, our chapter membership has continued to grow. Our chapter members come from various backgrounds, careers, ethnicities and the like. PTZ chapter members have attended local colleges and universities as well as out-of-state and abroad including CSU Dominguez Hills, CSU Long Beach, University of Phoenix, UNLV, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Liberty University (PA), Purdue University (IN), American University (Washington, DC) and Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (Spain), which brings a range of sisterly love, ideas and inclusiveness to our chapter. Phi Theta Zeta has recently inducted our Zeta youth auxiliaries (Pearlettes, Amicettes and Archonettes) and look forward to mentoring these young girls and future members of our youth auxiliaries for years to come. PTZ members also hold regional leadership positions within the sisterhood and in addition to working with youth, also work with undergraduate chapters in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. PTZ is the sponsoring graduate chapter of Upsilon Kappa undergraduate chapter at California State University, Fullerton.
The Gardena Zetas believe in the Sister Circle (Sisterly Love) and always remember that each time we gather for business or fun, it is all Zeta Love, EE-I-KEE !
