One-Eighty Counseling, P.A.
Mental Health Counseling for children, adolescents, adults, families & couples.
This Winter, we will be preparing to launch our Substance Use Intensive Outpatient Program in our Clayton location. Our team is eagerly working behind the curtain to craft a top notch curriculum and program criteria to support our clients on their recovery journey!
What is an IOP (intensive outpatient program)?
>IOP is a structured treatment program that offers a level of care for mental health and/or substance use conditions between traditional 1-1 therapy and inpatient care.
IOP can be beneficial for people who:
•Aren’t improving in weekly therapy and medication management
•Recently discharged from an inpatient hospitalization and/or residential treatment program
•Needs intensive care with less time commitment than a full day program
To learn more about our upcoming substance use IOP, please email [email protected]. 📧

Meet Emily 🌱
Emily Fry, LCMHC, LCAS, Clinical Director of Substance Use & Addiction Services and Director of our Substance Use IOP launching later this year. Emily has played an integral role in preparing and launching our SAIOP, most importantly advocating for its launch in Johnston County, an underserved area for higher levels of care.
When asked what most inspires her about launching the SAIOP, here’s what she had to say:
“One of the most humbling aspects I experience is the journey clients took to get to therapy and the journey to healing. Launching SAIOP will allow me the opportunity to be a part of so many other lives and assist those struggling with addiction to become who they are meant to be. Seeing people come together to overcome addiction, in an area where help and community support is hard to come by, is an experience I am honored to be a part of.” 🩷
Stay tuned for more information regarding our Substance Use IOP! To learn more about Emily and connect with One80, please visit: https://one-eightycounseling.com/emily-fry/

Some ways to support someone with PTSD include:
💡 Educate yourself about PTSD: the more you know, the better equipped you’ll be to help them.
💡 Be patient: PTSD recovery is not a linear process. Expect setbacks. Stay possible and maintain support for your friend or loved one.
💡 Do ‘normal’ things with them: things that have nothing to do with PTSD or their traumatic experience. Encourage them to seek out new hobbies, exercise, activities, and more.
💡 Be a good listener: don’t worry so much about giving advice. Just listen attentively, make it clear you’re interested and that you care.

For many people, Father’s Day encourages us to thank the men who raised and love us. For those who have lost their dad, Father’s Day can be a painful reminder that he’s gone.
When you or a loved one is facing a difficult Father’s Day, most standard greeting cards just don't ring true. We created this free e-card (along with others) to help people share love and support when Father’s Day doesn’t feel very happy. You can find our cards here: optionb.org/cards-for-fathers-day

Yes, be curious.
Don’t judge your feelings, rather get curious about them. It’s normal and okay to miss someone who wasn’t good to you or for you, especially if you spent a significant amount of time with them. It’s human! But it’s always good to keep in mind at the same time why you created space, left, ended things.
