The oldest international professional organization dedicated to scientific research regarding the creation model of origins.

The Creation Research Society is a professional organization of trained scientists and interested laypersons who are firmly committed to scientific special creation. Dr Joel Brown, director of the Creation Research Society, will be giving two brand new presentations at the Gateway Creation Conference, May 24-25, in St Louis (and streaming online)!

Title: How to Survive a Flood (of Cicadas)
Description: In Noah's day, the world experienced a deluge of water. In our day, we experience a deluge of cicadas. In this bug-centric session, we will explore the amazing biology of cicadas, some of God's noisiest creatures. In 2024, trillions of these insects will emerge from their underground homes to make their presence known. While we ponder how to survive this flood of cicadas, it brings to mind an even bigger question: how did cicadas (and other creepy crawlies) survive the flood of Noah's day?

Title: The Art of Creation
Description: Nature is beautiful. Is this beauty just a random by-product of naturalistic processes that we have evolved to appreciate or is it something more? Is modern science missing something by looking at the natural world through a coldly reductionist perspective? YES! In this session we will step back and look at the grandeur of Creation as a work, not just of incredible engineering, but of art.

Check out Joel's presentations and as well as others on our updated schedule page! https://www.creationconf.com/gateway-schedule

We are thrilled to introduce our new Director!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Joel Brown to the team. With his wealth of experience and innovative vision, we're looking forward to achieving greater heights together!

Joel, his wife Erin, and their 7 children currently live in St. Louis, Missouri, but will be moving to Arizona when he starts the position this summer. Dr. Brown holds a Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, and Development from Cornell University. He also holds a B.S. in Biology Education from Pensacola Christian College and a M.S. in Biology from the University of West Florida. His academic record is outstanding, with a 4.0 GPA in his doctoral studies.

Why I became a creationist

I am amazed at the incredible molecular world of the cell. The intricacies of the information (DNA) of life scream that we are no accident. But this is not why I am a creationist. It was simple faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross that also convinced me of Creation. If I could believe God when he said, "It is finished", I knew I could believe Him when He said, "In the beginning".

What I'm excited about for the Creation Research Society

I'm excited to see CRS at the forefront of using scientific research to glorify God, and, through this, make an impact on souls for eternity. Connecting creation scientists...that's what CRS is all about. Whether it's through published research or the research conferences, CRS strives to create a collaborative research network where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to one of our newest board members Dr. Georgia Purdom

Dr. Georgia Purdom is the VP of Educational Content at Answers in Genesis.

"It was a journey of understanding that the bible needs to be taken as it's written. Two things really prompted a change in my thinking leading me to become a biblical creationist. The first was understanding that the Hebrew word for day in Genesis 1 is used in the context of a 24-hour day. The second was understanding that there could not be death before sin so the earth could not be billions of years old and the fossil record did not represent millions of years of evolution." -Dr. Purdom

Dr. Purdom is excited about the opportunity to mentor the next generation of creation scientists. She believes that CRS can play a vital role in this by encouraging young people to publish, attend conferences, and apply for research grants.

We're very blessed that she has joined and excited to see what the CRS can accomplish with her help.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to one of our newest board members Dr. Yingguang Liu.
Dr. Yingguang Liu is an Associate Professor of Microbiology at Liberty University.

"The fulfillment of Biblical prophecies as recorded in later Scriptures and extrabiblical history convinced me that a supernatural being is behind the Bible. Therefore, all the Biblical records have higher authority than human writings or knowledge obtained by human endeavors." -Dr. Liu

Dr. Liu is thankful that the CRS has strived to sponsor, organize, and publish creation research. He is looking forward to seeing more intramural and extramural research

We're very thankful for his addition to the team and excited to see what the CRS can accomplish with his help.
