SWAG@ STREAMS After school program is Back!!!

The goal of this Afterschool program is to help arm youth with life skills, etiquette, and a much higher self-esteem.

We currently partner with Streams and we are excited to share with students and parents that the SWAG@Streams After school program will be starting on Monday September 9th from 4:30pm- 7:30pm.

All we ask is that the parents register their students. The location is 280 60th St SE Grand Rapids, MI 49548. We will have: GAMES, SNACKS, FOOD, PHYSICAL FITNESS ACTIVITIES, SPORTS, LIFE SKILLS, FREE TUTORING & HOMEWORK HELP, COOKING CLASSES, AND MUCH MORE.

Met these “young” ladies while working the Gus Macker in Otsego this weekend. They are all 60 years old!! Their energy, their vibe, their positivity, their effort and their love for the game was so inspiring! They are from Chicago and we’re teammates at Chicago State back in the day. They didn’t win a game, (two close losses by 1 point) but you would have thought they won the championship! All smiles and good energy. I love this game! ❤️🏀

CHAMP TALK‼️🏆🗣️🅱️N🅱️16U balled out at the in Indianapolis. The lost their first game Friday night then won 5 straight games to secure the Gold Championship. Amazing teamwork, great coaching and plenty of grit as they played short handed. Proud of you guys! 🤞🏾🔴⚫️🏀

We are partnering with BigNik LLC., First Tee - West Michigan, WestMichigan Jewels Of Africa, Mosaic Masterminds, Nature’s Drizzle, STEM Greenhouse, Muse GR, and Battle Ground JKD LLC to bring fun and exciting opportunities to the youth in our program this summer. We appreciate our community partners!

Today was dope!! I was inducted into the HALL OF FAME‼️ The thought of millions of people having played in a Gus Macker and I was lucky enough to be chosen! This honor is so exciting and humbling! I attached a few Macker Memories from over the years. GOD IS GREAT!!

Big S/O to coach Dee for guiding the girls to an undefeated record! 💪🏾❤️🖤🏆 Also big thanks to some of our older BNB girls for traveling to support the middle schoolers!!

🅱️N🅱️ Family‼️Winning has multiple definitions. This right here is winning to me! Two BNB teams faced each other in the championship on Saturday. Before the game they prayed for each other and after the game they showed love to each other. They wanted to play because they like to compete! It a was a win-win situation.🏆

Baxter out of School program is for children Ages 6 - 13 years old held Baxter Community Center in Grand Rapids, MI. Our goal is to provide structured indoor and outdoor activities while exposing the children in our program to many exciting, innovative and fun learning opportunities. Baxter Community Center is looking for individuals and/or organizations to offer onsite programming in the areas of STEM, Cooking, Music, Sports and Physical Education, Creative Play, Performing and Creative Arts. Individuals/Organizations will provide up to 12 weeks of programming for up to 2 hours per week.
