Home Repair Services of Kent County
Strengthen vulnerable Kent County homeowners because strong homeowners build strong communities! Home Repair Services is a West Michigan nonprofit.
Our Mission is to strengthen vulnerable Kent County homeowners. We believe that homeownership encourages personal responsibility and builds value, dignity, and pride.
We're so glad to get a visit from the volunteers of Acrisure who came out last week to paint, sand, saw and drill in our cabinet shop.
Each year, Home Repair Services thrives thanks to the thousands of hours contributed by devoted volunteers.
Come join in the fun: https://www.homerepairservices.org/volunteer/
It was a pleasure to get a visit from the Amway night crew, who volunteered to paint and clean late into the evening.
We've still got a lot to do in the cabinet shop, but each week we get a little more done thanks to the amazing volunteers and organizations of Kent County who donate their time to our mission of strengthening vulnerable homeowners.
And you can too: https://www.homerepairservices.org/volunteer/

Last week the local news came out to interview Chris and Senator Gary Peters who's office recommended us to him.
We're very proud of this program, and we're glad that Chris shared his story so other veterans can find us.

In building Accessibility Ramps for vulnerable Kent County residents, we collect a lot of left over pieces of wood too short for further ramp construction projects.
So we devised a Bench Program to reduce landfill waste, and to generate additional funds for more wheelchair ramps.
These Benches are handmade of sturdy deck wood, by volunteers in our cabinet shop.
