**Dental Awareness Reminder**
Please remember to be aware of your pet's dental health. If your pet is having trouble eating or they have bad breath please call us to schedule an appointment. Keeping an eye on your pets dental health is an essential part of their care!

Mama Ellie is up for adoption through our friends at Enchanted Tails Animal Rescue.

Mama Ellie's story: Ellie was dumped at someone's house very pregnant. We took her in, and she had 10 beautiful babies. Now she's ready for a home of her own! She is around 1 year old. She is great with other dogs, and ignores cats. She has puppy energy, and likes to run. She is a super sweet girl. She loves to give kisses, and cuddles. Her favorite activity is playing with her dog pals or her toys. She also loves kongs! She would be a great addition to an active family who's on the go a lot.

🖤 National Pet Memorial Day 🖤

Today is a day we remember our beloved pets who have crossed over rainbow bridge. 🌈

It gives us a chance to remember and honor our special bond we have with them. Losing a pet is difficult no matter how long you had them and today is to help honor their memory.

Take a look at this guy!

This is a Jackson Chameleon. They are characteristically known for their three horns on the males. These are not beginner reptiles for families. We recommend you do your research before adopting any type of reptile, especially chameleons as they are very hard to care for.

Either way, this guy appears healthy at his appointment and was very neat to see!

🌳TICKS TICKS TICKS 🌳

We have been getting many calls about the high amount of ticks our clients are catching on their dogs. Make sure your pet is on flea and tick prevention monthly! We recommend Simparica Trio or Nexgard. If you hike or visit wooded areas, we may even recommend the Lyme vaccine as another way to protect against Lyme disease spread by ticks!

We found these ticks on a patient's ear while in the office! Be sure to check your pet's ears and toes. Ticks like to hide there the most! 🐾

Our patient Hunny was in the other day and had the most perfect sunflower collar on!

We sure have been loving this beautiful (a little hot) weather! ☀️🌻

Nacho is a mature bearded dragon! He came in for his yearly checkup.
Fun fact: Bearded Dragons get their name from their beard coloring. When they are threatened or distressed, their beard gets bigger and turns black!

If your dog enjoyed many people food treats over the holiday weekend, please be cautious! A lot of the yummy foods like steak, chicken, and sausages - even in small amounts - can cause stomach upset called pancreatitis. Quite often cases of pancreatitis need hospitalization. If you pet is experiencing any vomiting, diarrhea or any of these other symptoms, please call us before trying any over the counter treatments.
