Update from Belize: Headed out early Thursday from Big Falls to go to Belize City. We had quite the thunderstorm in the night and it has continued to rain through our travels out to the island. Spent the day on Caye Caulker.

Today the group travels home. Please keep them in your prayers as they travel.

Update from Belize: Today we finished up our food distributions to people in need in the village. Some were older members of the church who can no longer walk to come to the service and some were people who had difficult circumstances and just needed some help. It was the last day of vbs. Heading to our final worship service in the church. -Jay

Today’s update from Belize via Jay H. “This morning we went to a chocolate farm and to some Mayan ruins very close to Big Falls. We continued vacation Bible School, and ended our day helping to make corn tortillas by hand. We are settling in a little early tonight to get some needed rest for our last full day tomorrow. The church members in Big Falls have been an amazing supportive family to our group as we work alongside them in their church ministry.”

An update from Belize brought to you by Jay Harsevoort. "Our first day of vbs. We started out with a trip to Punta Gorda to get supplies for the vbs time. It was nice to visit a city to see something different than the village life. Tomorrow will be a little bit of fun where we'll visit a chocolate making farm, then deliver more food bags to local people in need and then do our second day of VBS."

Today the group went to village for breakfast and church. Then went to the pastor’s house to see his farm. Please continue to pray for our group in Belize.

After a long day of travel, including two hours of sitting on the tarmac in GR, our group has arrived safely in Big Falls, Belize. Please continue to pray that they have a wonderful week.

On Easter Sunday, we will offer two services. Our Sunrise Service will be held at 7:30 a.m. at Kent Country Club (1600 College Ave. NE). Pastor Matt Shults will offer the Easter Sunrise message. Our traditional worship will be held at 10:00 a.m. in our sanctuary, and Pastor Steve Pierce will be preaching. Livestream will be available for the 10:00 a.m service. Invite a friend to join you!

On the cross, the veil between the Holy and the unholy is “torn from top to bottom” (Matthew 27:51), the “curtain of his body” becomes a “living opening” (Hebrews 10:20) through which we all can now walk into the Holy of Holies, which on different levels is both our own soul and the very heart of God. Some learned how to see and to trust the contract between God and humanity. God has always and forever loved what God created, “It was good, it was very good” (Genesis 1:31). It was we who could not love and see the omnipresent goodness. We were trapped outside the veil.
