Our Kentwood location does not have power today and will be closed for the rest of the day.
Last week's demo at City of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Riverside Park was a lot of fun. If you can't make it out to one of our demo events but are interested in an extended test ride any bike in our demo fleet is available to rent. Contact us for more information or stop in.
This week's demo at the City of Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department's Paris Park was a success. Paris Park is a fun little park with a mix of paved and dirt trails and it made a great venue to hang out at and test e-bikes and electric assisted TerraTrikes. We have plans for more demo events throughout the summer and will post them here as soon as we have dates and locations.
This weekend we got out to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital's "Bikes for the Rest of Us" event to help find adaptive cycling solutions for children and adults with restrictions that would otherwise prevent them from being able to ride.
It was a great weekend for riding! We started Saturday morning helping SAG and hanging out at the Dirty 30 Gravel Events and followed that up with plenty of our own miles on the roads and trails of West Michigan.
Now that actual winter weather is here, we're extending our winter service pickup special through next Saturday, February 24, so you don't have to bring your bike in on wet roads. This special applies to any bike or trike within 20 miles of our stores getting our basic, deluxe or pro tune up packages, or adding a Bosch boost kit to a TerraTrike. For more details or to schedule your pick up contact the location closest to you.
We officially have snow, so while you wait for trails to get groomed and set up why not stop in and check out a new fat bike. Even better is the fact that for the month of January all in stock Trek Farley's are 10% off.
We're ready to help if you're doing last minute Christmas shopping for the cyclist in your life. Our holiday weekend hours this year are 10am to 2 pm Saturday 12/23 and 12/30 and we are closed for both 12/25 and 1/1.
All three of our locations will be closed tomorrow, October 24, as we are hitting the books for a day of learning and Trek Bicycle's annual dealer show. We apologize for any inconvenience this event causes but promise to be extra excited about cool new things to come when we reopen Wednesday.
It is inventory week at West Michigan Bike & Fitness, and each location will close for the day as we count it, to ensure accuracy. We will be counting Kentwood on Monday the 25th, Grandville on Tuesday the 26th, and Holland on Wednesday the 27th. Outside of each store's inventory count date all hours will stay the same.
Heading into the Labor Day weekend we want to caution anyone that needs last minute bicycle supplies to make it into one of our locations before 2:00 pm on Saturday as we are closing a touch early to extend the weekend for employees. If you do come in test riding the Electra Ponto, pictured below, should be high on your to do list.
In celebration of the Independence day holiday we will be closed July 2 - July 4 to give our employees a long weekend with their families, friends, and bicycles. Feel free to stop in Friday until 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm for all holiday weekend essentials. We will resume normal hours on Wednesday, July 5th.
The Dirty 30 Gravel Events race in Saranac is filling up, beat this week's price increase and sign up for a well run and fun event.
Dirty 30 Gravel Events Join us every spring in Saranac, MI. Small town, big gravel. Just east of Grand Rapids, MI
Today's snow and blowing conditions has us sending staff home early to avoid driving after dark and to avoid the worst of the storm. We will be open until 2 pm today and reopen Tuesday, December 27.
It certainly looks like it's going to be a white Christmas this year. If you're playing Santa for someone and we've been hanging on to the bike today looks like the last day of good road conditions, so maybe take advantage and pick it up while the weather outside isn't frightful. Also one last reminder that we are open Friday from 10 am to 2 pm as well as from 10 am to 2 pm on Christmas Eve for last minute shoppers and pickups.
Bikes make a great Christmas gift, but they are hard to hide under the tree. We're open 10 am - 2 pm on Christmas Eve and are happy to hang onto bikes purchased before Christmas so you can give the gift of riding and keep it a secret until the big reveal.
Showing off the Christmas spirit at the Kentwood location with personalized stockings for all the staff. Stop in for holiday cheer and if needed stocking stuffer ideas for your favorite cyclist.
It's the most wonderful time of the year if you're looking to give a kid the gift of riding! We are fully stocked on kid's bikes and many models are discounted through Christmas. Stop in or check out the link below for pricing and availability.

We will be closed today, October 25, so that our employees can gather and take in Trek Bicycle's annual Trek World bicycle show. It will be a day of meetings, seminars and hopefully a taste of some cool things to come. We're excited for the event that really kicks off our 2023 preparation and apologize for any inconvenience us closing today causes.
This week is our annual end of season inventory count week. As we count each store that location will be closed for business. We will be starting Monday, September 26, at Kentwood, then counting Grandville on Tuesday, and Holland on Wednesday. Thanks for your patience as we make sure all the bikes, nuts, bolts, and parts we think we have are actually here.
In celebration of the 4th of July holiday and to give our employees a little extra time with family and friends this holiday weekend we will be closing July 2-4. Hopefully you can stop in to snag any holiday weekend needs today, and we hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend.
We're hoping your path leads here. We're looking to add full and part time staff at all three of our locations and are hoping that if you are a fun and friendly person you'll join us. Follow the link below and fill out an application to start your journey.

There is still time to get your bike or trike picked up as part of our winter bike pick up special. Call us today or tomorrow to get it scheduled and get your bike ready for spring.
If your bike needs our basic, deluxe or pro tune up packages and you live within 15 miles of us we will send one of our service writers to your house to pick up your bike and we will drop it off when the tune-up is done for no charge beyond our normal tune up fee. For more details or to schedule your pick up contact the location closest to you. If you aren’t close enough to take advantage of this offer you can still beat the rush by bringing your bike or trike in now for it’s annual tune-up.
Check out the Global Fat Bike Day Part I! ride this coming weekend for a great excuse to get together with some like minded riders.
It's been a long time, but we finally get to talk about a sale again! This weekend the Saris H3 is on a super deal for $799.99 and Tacx has the Neo 2T $200 off and selling for $1199.99. We have both trainers in stock and ready to pick up starting at 10 AM this Friday.
We wanted to give everyone a heads up that all three of our locations will be closed Tuesday, October 19, for Trek's 2022 season launch event. We will be gathering as a staff to get excited about new products and finding ways to make buying bikes better for all of you.
Next week is our yearly store physical inventory counts. Each location will be closed on the day it is counted, and the schedule is Kentwood on Monday, Grandville on Tuesday and Holland on Wednesday. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hopefully a little early warning helps avoid confusion.
Heading into this holiday weekend we wanted to make everyone aware of our hours for the Labor Day weekend. We will be open regular hours Monday through Friday this week and will be closed this Saturday through Labor Day on Monday. Hopefully this gives everyone a chance to get in with plenty of time before the weekend and have a great Labor Day.
As we move towards summer and the more traditional bike buying and selling season we unfortunately have an unpleasant truth to share. Despite our hopes that bike availability would look better this summer than last we are looking at a more significant shortage of bikes, accessories and parts than we have had to deal with in our 83 years of doing business, and it comes at a time when more of you want to ride than ever. Shipping, production, raw materials, etc are all proving to be limiters in the supply chain and all are having a significant impact on what we will have available for the next 12-24 months. On a positive note we are receiving bikes every week, there may not be enough of them and it might not be the exact right bike, but we are trying to get those bikes out on the roads and trails as soon as possible. Our plan to try and combat this shortage is to focus on the things we can control. We will continue to operate on shortened hours to get bikes built, backordered items sorted and products to either the sales floor or customers as soon as possible. We are blessed to have estimated allocation dates for every bike we have on backorder and while they certainly aren’t always right the dates do allow us to presell bikes to people that know what bike they want and would like to reserve that bike for a future ship date. Finally we will do our best to chip away at what once again is a long line of repair bikes as so many of you have realized that fixing your old bike is the best or only solution to getting on a bike this spring/summer. What we are hoping you can give us is patience. This isn’t easy for any of us, we are seeing four times the foot traffic of a normal spring with a small fraction the inventory we would normally have. This leaves us in a position where the phone may ring an extra few times, it may take a little bit for us to get to you in store and you may have to wait for a bike if you decide you would like one, but know that we intend to do our best to take care of you in these unprecedented times. We are looking forward to the day we once again have full showrooms and warehouses packed with bikes and the resulting smiles it brings all of us, until then we hope to see you and hope we can help you find your next bike.
Uh oh, our Holland location will be closed for the reminder of the day, Friday March 19, while they fix a downed power pole. We are told power will be restored tonight and the shop reopened tomorrow at 10:00.
