โIn a world where self-doubt and insecurity can often cloud our judgment and hinder our progress, the importance of confidence cannot be overstated. Confidence is not just a state of mind; it is a powerful force that can shape our interactions, decisions, and overall well-being. And when it comes to women who not only possess confidence themselves but also instill it in others, the benefits are truly remarkable.โ

Upstate high school student wins gold medal in roofing The Hillcrest High School senior competed in a national championship in Atlanta for commercial roofing.
Our amazing Work-Based Learning Coordinator, Kelly Wyatt, engaged our 9th Grade Career Exploratory students today in an exciting and interactive session!
She introduced them to the world of Work-Based Learning and put their soft skills and career knowledge to the test with a fun challenge: breaking out of a Job Expo where they were "locked" inside! The students worked in small groups, using their problem-solving abilities to escape.
Weโre incredibly grateful for Mrs. Wyattโs creativity, passion, and the wealth of knowledge she brings to our school, our business partners, and the community.
Fun fact: Before joining GSCC, Mrs. Wyatt was an elementary school teacher!

We still have several students who need to sponsor our SC Women's Executive Luncheon in partnership with the BMW Supplier Diversity Conference on August 27th!
By sponsoring a student in our community, you help allow them to further their career and get the education they deserve.
They also get the opportunity to build connections, relationships, and friends with business owners and professionals in our community who can help educate, equip, and mentor them during their education and careers.
If you're interested in helping a student, send us a message at [email protected]

Meet Avian! He is continuing his Work-Based Learning placement with Greenville County Schools this summer with our maintenance department.
His instructor tells us, "Avian is an exceptional student who consistently extends a helping hand to his peers, readily offering support and guidance whenever needed. His genuine eagerness to contribute to the collective success of the classroom community is truly commendable.
As a second-year student, Avian's remarkable achievements speak volumes about his drive and determination. His recent completion of the NRCA TRAC Thermoplastic certification sets him apart as a trailblazer, making him one of only two individuals in the state to attain this prestigious certification while still in high school. This accomplishment not only underscores his exceptional capabilities but also serves as a testament to his unparalleled commitment to excellence and continuous learning."
You might see Avian working at one of our GCS locations this summer! :)
Congrats, Avian!

We recently partnered with Blank Canvas Mural Co. to create a HUGE mural inside our building. The goal was to create something collaborative to represent all of our programs, students, and diversity.
The mural was planned and designed by our Digital Art and Design class and students from many classes joined in on the painting part!
This was an epic experience in teamwork, design, collaboration, and project management. Check out the full timelapse below to see the full transformation!
