MY PEOPLE ....South Carolina has No, None, Nadda Inclusionary Zoning Law. Is it not noticeable? Obviously.... marginalized groups of people in the Upstate are left behind, not included on sustainable affordable housing, yea, recently they have started building a handful of units to replace low income families and individuals but you'll be trapped to still not access the bigger slice of pie so much owed, no accessible transit system, no access to higher wages for higher rent. All of Us or None, SC Greenville organizers. I stand in deep solidarity with formerly-and- currently incarcerated citizens on the human-and-civil rights full restoration. We are changing the narrative on affordable housing with inclusionary zones ordinance, livable wage employment to remove barriers that impede our life! Barriers to community economic development including accessible/affordable transit systems to livable wage jobs with walkways and bike-ways defined by communities of color. The mind-set of the carceral system and, its system of oppression imposes a Public Safety issue.

We believe, that Enough is Enough is Enough! Destigmatize & Decriminalized SUD users. Dismantle stiffened excessive sentences that dictate punishment of life imprisonment. Build treatment centers, not prison walls to capture Addicted suffers. The carceral state and its systems of oppression punishes sick people! Instead of offering treatment! What a conspiratol action aimed to target bipoc and low-income citizens. People that can't defend themselves with families that can't fight back.. Abolish Bo***ge Collectively. Release prisoners being held on nonviolent crimes who are incarcerated because of drug use. Stop free labor as slave labor because of wrong decisions, mistakes, and fund care for mental health.

Finally after emancipation and some of the survivors, our ancestors children and young adults ages 14 years to 21 years were allowed to practice religion for the first time of their own beliefs at Antioch Church formerly known as Anti-Yoke Church.
They were ambushed! Sent out as a Militia to war in a fight started by Slaveowner and the killing of a Greek Warrior.
Excuse me. These are the sleeping arrangements for our enslaved ancestors at the Whitney Plantation. Their mattresses were PinStraw.
Below is the great, great grandson of the last baby infant born at the Whitney Plantation. Her descendants own the Fee Fo-lay Cafe next door to the Plantation and much of the land surrounding it. The great great great granddaughter serves as communications director over the Whitney Plantation Tours. I share with you actual living quarters of our ancestors sleeping quarters. They were forced to work from Sundown to Sundown by candle light.
Ancestral moments in my visit to Whitney Plantation, Edgard, Louisiana, circa 1776. Slaveowner John Jaques Haydel, Greek owner of enslaved african ancestors forced laborers and edifices and artifacts where they lived and built to be held in slavery. Many children, babies and, my enslaved ancestors had marketable skills they had to lend, to purchase their own freedom. Slaves had to remain on Whitney Plantation after Emancipation until 1975.

PSA: THE SPIRITUAL HIGH HOMEGROUP STOMPING OUT THE PANDEMIC COMMITTEE SEND MANY THANK U'S TO ALL SPEAKERS WHO CARRIED THE MESSAGE OF NA YESTERDAY AT OUR SJAM
One community, One mic today celebrated women's history month. AOUON Oakland, CA selected Five panel speakers of formerly incarcerated women organizers from around the country who shared concerns on their state issues surrounding racial bias and social injustice. Community organizer and homeless advocate Angela Hurks, SC Chapter, rattled the cage and burst the mic speaking in her voice. She talked on system impact and the affects of the pandemic on women returning from prison and jail in homelessness. She shared the challenges many have accessing health-care and mental health services, employment, and making contact with probation officers in the upstate. And locating a safe place to.live. The Biden administration has suddenly forgot that in the first 100 days of his administration's. A narrative for BIPOC on racial discrimination and social equity would be addressed, along with criminal justice and on prison reform
This have been quickly deflected to crimes against Asian Americans post-election that she deeply expressed empathy for with the killings of Asian Americans in Atlanta, Georgia the other day. But, Biden who signed the executive order within 2 weeks after inauguration and others soon forget about poc, reparations, crimes against black and brown persons and police shootings on Brianna Taylor,, Travon Martin, George Floyd, Sandra Bland, and countless other persons of color. Hopefully A.A. will want to join our cause. Asian Americans are discriminated against just like BIPOC who are at risk for police killings and racial profiling that is unpunishable by the criminal justice system. POC placed Biden and others in democratic seats in office. They work for us - the people!
Biden admitted his mistake on supporting the three-strike law, very well. So are we suppose to say okay, we forgive you, and carry-on.
Is is too important POC to allow our narrative to be pushed under the pile of wreckless issue in America. It is imperative that we keep this in the face of local elected officials and executive officials without ceasing. Do not go to sleep on matters that dehumanize us as a oppressed race. Our lives matter and so do our black youth. It's obvious poc lives don't matter to white supremacy. It is our responsibility to keep the movement alive. Somebody is going to respond to this issue america, may it be until Allah himself answers.
Enough is Enough!
We must AMPLIFY our voices in unity speaking Truth to Power. Let us not allow the narrative of our cause to fade away.
The reality is that POC currently awaits release because mistakes that were made. Have ant of the decision makers been to prison before? Incarcerated males been in prison since their youth now older adults, and elderly diabled men. Their lives matter also and whatever circumstances there was, has now changed. What is happening do the deserve to suffer and die, like slaves.
POC men and women remain behind the walls serving life sentences behind a drug problem or systemic poverty and the three strike law.
Economics has not gotten better for formerly incarcerated citizens free in society. They can't land jobs that gives them equal pay to provide for their needs
No. Why? because they're felons and deserve to be homeless. This is the poorest attitude that isn't the cure. Locked up and Locked out should not be accepted in society which is awful, its rampant, and ought not be happening in america.
The Covid 19 Virus has stampeded the lives of black and indigenous people throughout SC communities, and in other states.
And for us, we have yet to receive the 40 acres and a mule promised to our ancestors.
Democracy in America is at its highest risk of us losing. We the people are the democracy! What are you going to do?? Let's not sit and watch and be stuck while they chip away what small ability we have to exercise the rights We must stand for democracy by using our voices to fight for the change we need and want to see happen, if we want to continue to express our voices and have the full freedoms of social justice.
All of Us or None SC Chapter stands with you in the political fight for full restoration of the civil and human rights of formerly- and currently incarcerated people, and our children.
We must stand for voting rights to be reinstated to persons on probation and parole. We must vote in local and primary elections. We can reverse statehouse seats of leadership to democratic. Get registered and go vote! Your voice speaks volumes.

America incarcerates more of its citizens than any country in the world. The number of women in South Carolina's prisons has increased more than fourfold, from 283 in 1978 to 1,308 in 2017. The number of women in South Carolina's jails has increased more than 18-fold, from 74 in 1970 to 1,387 in 2015. Since 1990, the Black incarceration rate has increased by 52%. The female jail population percentage increased from 12.6% to 15.2% from 2005 to 2017 (BJS/USDOJ, 2019.) Applied to Prison Policy Initiative's 2015 report of 11,000 individuals in SC Jails b Nearly 1,700 women are in SC Jails (SC should have 1535 based on U.S. jail detention rates)
SC Detention Center reports having 1,344 female inmates (SCDC, Sept. 24, 2019) (SC should have 1435 based on U.S. prison incarceration rates and is housing 11 pregnant women. Greenville & Charleston Counties report a combined 11live births in 2018 while incarcerated. SC DHHS, Pete Leggitt, has recently begun examining the needs of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and how best to work with them, and, their children. One challenge faced by the total re-entry population is there is not a statewide data system tracking formerly incarcerated individuals, hence, they slowly are absorbed into larger systems during the initial re-entry journey. Individuals often become homeless upon re-entry, which does not adequately address the formerly incarcerated individual. This coupled with the rise in female incarceration and release, Greenville must address re-entry into society differently than the homeless individual who has not been incarcerated. Resources are scarce, and, individuals lose any financial resources they had prior to incarceration. Getting these resources back, and, in the instances of women with children, reuniting with children or access to resources is very challenging. Individuals require intensive case management and, in many instances, legal services to achieve a smooth transition back into society.
Women are not men. It seems obvious, of course, but most reentry programs for women are built for men and then "painted pink." They don’t take into account the complex demands facing women fresh out of prison: maintaining sobriety, keeping up with the punitive terms of correctional supervision, pregnancy, and searching for housing and employment, while repairing relationships and navigating the challenges surrounding family reunification and the child welfare system. Nor do these programs consider the root causes of their incarceration: overwhelmingly, justice-involved women were victims first, the vast majority have suffered physical, sexual, or emotional abuse at some point during their lives. Upon a currently incarcerated citizens release from prison, and returning back to their community they find themselves, LOCKED UP! AND, LOCKED OUT!
SC Chapter_ AoUoN has joined a national grassroots movement and is organizing an initiative in South Carolina started by formerly incarcerated people, to fight against the discrimination that incarcerated, formerly incarcerated and our family members face every day.
