While on campus, I had the pleasure of meeting two of my intelligent and beautiful Sorors. DrBarbara A. Beeks, Dr. Selena Blair;
A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Dr. Kayce Shealy and Dr. Giuseppe Gumin for helping to conceptualize the Social Determinates of Health, primarily for the upstate of SC.
While on campus, students from Greenwood, Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson Counties, worked in groups to:
• Define health equity and health inequalities.
•Identify the role social determinants of health play in affecting health inequities (in Laurens County, or the county in which they reside)
President, Anita Olson Gustafson, on behalf of Upstate AHEC, think you for supporting this collaboration, and for welcoming our students and their parents to the campus.
Dr. Selena Blair, thank you for encouraging students to be their "Authentic Selves" while on campus. Your presentation was priceless 👏🏾
