Social and emotional learning (SEL) is an important part of what we do at CASC! SEL helps us go beyond the classroom to develop the skills needed to manage emotions, achieve goals, and make responsible decisions. Each month this year, we'll share some helpful wisdom that our students are working on for the month. August's focus is Mindful Moments 💙

As Tropical Storm Debby’s current path includes South Carolina, Cyber Academy is carefully monitoring all updates from the National Weather Service and South Carolina state officials.
At this time, Cyber Academy will continue to operate on a normal schedule. Current forecasts do predict severe weather throughout the state, so please monitor your local weather service for updates and make your safety the top priority during this time. Please notify your advisor by email if you will need to miss school due to weather or circumstances surrounding Tropical Storm Debby. Any course-related questions or concerns should be directed to your classroom teacher.
Students and families will be notified via email, ParentSquare, and CASC social media should additional weather-related decisions be made this week.

The SC Learns Board recently held elections for two Board seats. Mr. John Loveday retained his seat and we are announcing Ms. Sawnsurae Lowe was elected to the second seat! Ms. Lowe is a parent of students at Cyber Academy of SC and has a strong background in the education field. You can learn more about Ms. Lowe at the link in our bio!

Congratulations to Aliyah A, CASC 11th grader, for making it to the finals of the K12 Cook-Off! 🔥 Aliyah is in the top six of 350 entries nationwide for "Sweet and Sour Tropical Island", a recipe that combines sweet & sour chicken with the yummy summer staple pineapple 🍍

Independence Day, also known as the 4th of July, is a day commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This day reminds us of family reunions, barbecues, picnics, ice cream and, of course, fireworks!!! How are you spending the day? 🎆

More class of 2024 spotlights. Gavin recently competed in the Stride esports tournament in Dallas, Texas, as a part of the team representing the Cyber Academy of South Carolina. He will be attending Winthrop University on a full eSports scholarship. Congratulations Gavin!
