St. Matthew UMC Greenville Continuing Christ's work in the world...

“For you shall go out in joy and be led back in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall burst into song.” (Isaiah 55:12)

We enjoyed group games, archery, hiking, painting, campfire and s’mores, all surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation. We had a little bit of rain and LOTS of laughter at St Matthew in the Mountains this weekend!

Yesterday our church took part in a conversation on unity, love and compassion in divisive times. We shared views on inclusion and hospitality and sought to identify how our church can show and empathy in ministering to our community.

(These groups were told they were in a competition for best looking table but we think they ALL win!)

We ask ourselves, "How can we erase lines that divide us, not draw them?"

Join your church family at Asbury Hills for either the whole weekend or just Sunday morning for worship by the lake. Activities will include hiking, campfires, games, relaxing rocking chairs, and much more!

Annual Oyster Roast : March 2nd @ 6:00pm

Join us for the Annual Oyster Roast under the backyard lights at
the Geddie's home. We'll have delicious oysters and more! Cost is $20 per person (adults only) and BYOB.

RSVP by February 23! Tickets can be paid for at the door or in advance through the church office. We hope you'll join us for the 'best night of the year'!

Our I-Mites team won the World National Championship Tournament of the Century*! As a reward, they earned a trophy taller than any member of the team! Thanks Coach Edward and Coach Carrie! Good luck to our other teams playing in the play-offs tomorrow!

*This isn’t a real award but it brought a lot of smiles to the players!
