FG Kids: A Ministry of Fellowship Greenville
A welcoming, safe place for all children to find belonging and learn about Jesus. The Kids Ministry of Fellowship Greenville in Greenville, SC.
A place where kids will come to understand what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus and the life he offers.
As you step into a new year, may you be blessed and encouraged by these words from our FG Kids Director, Melanie Grainger…
As Scrooge said at the end of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol," ‘I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year.’
This year, may we live in the past, recounting all that God has done. May we live in the present, rejoicing in the One who is doing far more abundantly. And may we live in the future, looking ahead to the joy that is set before us.
Happy New Year!
On the last day of caroling, it was only fitting for the Next Gen team to wish you a very Merry Christmas!
May your day be spent remembering Jesus and the good gift we’ve been given in Him! Immanuel is with us and for that, we have reason to rejoice!
We love our FG family - Merry Christmas!
Day 25 of our Advent series: Redeemer
"Redeem" is a fancy word that really means "to save." If that's the case, then why do we call Jesus our Redeemer? Why did He have to come, and what did He save us from?
P.S. Merry Christmas : )
Twas the night before Christmas
And the caroling’s about done
Lots of holiday spirit
Paige and Courtney had fun
It’s time for a laugh
Before the last post
So we hope you enjoy
The bloopers the most
As you snuggle in
By your tree’s beautiful lights
We wish a Merry Christmas to all
And to all a good night
Day 24 of our Advent series: The Son of God
What does it mean that Jesus is the Son of God? Jesus had a great responsibility when He came to earth. How do you think it made Him feel when He had to leave Heaven to come down and serve, lead, and ultimately sacrifice Himself for all of us? What would you have done?
The duo you’ve all been waiting for…
Day 23 of our Advent series: Wonderful Counselor
When you have a problem, or you are struggling with something, who do you talk to? Because of Jesus, a way has been made for us to come to God and talk to Him when we are struggling or need guidance. We can cast our cares at His feet knowing that He is listening and desires to help us. Does that comfort you knowing the Jesus is always listening and wants to help us? What is something that you can lay at the feet of Jesus today?
It’s another beautiful day for caroling.
Day 22 of our Advent series: Servant
What is the purpose of a servant? What do they do? How did Jesus model being a servant? Come up with some ways that you and your family can serve others this Christmas season!
We know you’ve all been waiting for this song…we hope we did it justice 🎄
Day 21 of our Advent series: The Great Physician
What makes someone a good doctor? How was Jesus a good "doctor"? What sickness did Jesus heal, and did He only heal physical sicknesses and injuries?
Just as a reminder: There will be no FG Kids Programming on December 24 and 31. We will be gathering for Family Worship on Christmas Eve (1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM), and then we will have a service available for streaming on the 31st. Have a very Merry Christmas!
Without further ado… the musical stylings of the Tedder Trio (Raydell, her son Paul, and her grandson Andrew), Jim, Ashton, and Courtney…
…and Paige, who sat at the front office desk so Raydell could participate
Day 20 of our Advent series: The Lamb of God
On day 8, we reflected on Jesus being the Lion of Judah. Go back and listen to the song, "The Lion and the Lamb," again, but this time, try to figure what it means that Jesus is the Lamb of God. How could Jesus possibly be both a lion and a lamb? Why is it encouraging to us that He is both a lion and a lamb?
The gift that keeps on giving 🎁 The caroling continues…
Day 19 of our Advent series: Man of Sorrows
It can make us sad thinking about all the pains, hardships, and sufferings Jesus endured, but it should also humble us and make us grateful! Why? Why did Jesus choose to endure all those "sorrows"? How can we follow Jesus' example when we go through hard things?
Happiest of Monday’s to you 🎄
Day 18 of our Advent series: The Son of Man
Jesus is the Son of God, yes, but He's also the Son of Man. What does that mean, and why should that encourage our hearts?
Day 17 of our Advent series: Immanuel - God With Us!
Jesus was the long-awaited Savior. People had hoped and prayed for the day He would come, so when that day finally did come...the world rejoiced! Why? Because God with now literally with us. What was Jesus' purpose in coming to earth? Why did God send His Son?
Day 16 of our Advent series: The Good Shepherd
Jesus refers to us as sheep without a shepherd - what happens with sheep when they do not have their shepherd? What kind of shepherd is Jesus to His flock?
Day 15 of our Advent series: The Bread of Life
What happens when you get hungry? When Jesus tells us that with Him, we'll never go hungry, what does that mean? Is He talking about actual food?
…and the singing continues! 🎄
Day 14 of our Advent series: The Prince of Peace
Because of Jesus, we now not only have peace with God, but we've also been given a peace from God, a peace that surpasses all our understanding! What kind of peace did Jesus bring? How have you experienced His peace?
Day 13 of our Advent series: The True Vine
What happens to fruit when it disconnects from the vine or tree? What happens to us when we disconnect ourselves from our True Vine, Jesus? What kind of "fruit" is produced when we stay connected to Him?
Day 12 of our Advent series: The Alpha and Omega
Take a minute and try to fathom the idea that Jesus has no beginning and no end. What does that even mean? Why is that good news for us?
Welcome back to another caroling session! We’ve set the bar high for Christmas spirit in this one!
Day 11 of our Advent series: Our Great High Priest
In the Old Testament, God established a priestly system because sins were separating humans from God. It was the priest's responsibility to intercede on behalf of the people through rituals and sacrifices. Do we still need those rituals and sacrifices? Why or why not? What does it mean that Jesus is our Great High Priest?
This morning, our preteens got the opportunity to hear from Bryce and Natasha Nattier, who are currently missionaries in Togo, West Africa. Bryce and Natasha both work to provide medical care to those in Togo, giving them the unique opportunity to meet not only the physical needs of the Togolese people, but their spiritual needs as well.
Our students heard what a typical day might look like while living in West Africa, but most importantly, they heard how Jesus is working in the lives of those in Togo. Jesus is slowly softening the hearts of the Togolese people toward the Gospel of Jesus through the work of the Nattier’s and their partners!
It’s so important for our 4th and 5th graders to begin expanding their worldview, to see that making the decision to follow Jesus comes with a real and lifelong cost. We hope that hearing from these wonderful missionaries not only served to build their faith, but also gives them confidence to follow Jesus however that may look in their life!
