Greenville First Assembly
Journey Together. Sunday Services at 9am, 11am & 6pm (Portuguese).
Do you trust Him?
On Sunday, Pastor Josh encouraged us to follow the Apostles' example found in Acts 5. They trusted Jesus enough to continue to proclaim the Gospel even in the face of persecution and suffering. What would it look like if we lived that way? What would it look like if we chose to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus despite our circumstances?
If you missed this week's message, or want to hear it again, you can find it online on our Facebook and Youtube page!

The time is NOW!⏱️
One of the best ways to encourage others in their faith is by leading a small group! If this is a desire of your heart, there is no better time than now to sign up to lead a group!
The process is simple. Complete the leader form online to let us know more about the group you would like to lead this Fall.

We are pausing our midweek gatherings for tonight so that our families, students, and school staff can find some extra rest before Greenville County Schools start back tomorrow!
GFYC (middle & high school) will be meeting offsite at the Haywood Mall Food Court!
We encourage you to be in prayer as this new school year begins!
Our church is on the brink of something special and we are ready for it! Today we celebrated THREE water baptisms and prayed over our students and school staff. We are continually encouraged and challenged by the example set by the early church of Acts. And we are just getting started!
Church family you showed up today in a big way! Thank you for your generosity and your time helping us pack bags to bless our teachers for this school year.
We can’t wait to see you tomorrow morning as we dive deeper into the book of Acts!
THANK YOU to everyone who has generously donated student and teacher supplies so far! We are incredibly grateful for your support. This is a reminder that there is still one more Sunday left for school supply drop-off, on July 28. You can also bring the teacher-specific items during office hours this week or to our midweek groups. We want to have as many teacher items as possible before this Saturday’s Reach Day on the 27 where we will be packing bags for teachers in our community.
Additionally, donations can be made online, select “Other” when submitting your gift and add the memo “Back to School.”
We can’t wait to see the impact that your generosity has on our community!
We can’t wait to worship you tomorrow!
See you at 9 & 11am! 🙌
Wishing Pastor Stephen a happy birthday! 🎉
We are grateful for the way he leads and loves our students. Show him some love in the comments!
There is power in prayer!
James 5:16 encourages us to confess our sins to one another and to pray for one another. We want to pray for you and believe with you for God’s healing, provision, and miracles. Let us know how we can come alongside you in prayer in the comments!
Our team in Alaska is almost halfway through their trip! God has been moving in powerful ways already! The team has had several opportunities to serve the community of Fairbanks and make a difference in the lives of others. We invite you to join us as we continue to pray for their safety and effectiveness in ministry this week!
Sunday recap:
Friendly faces, powerful worship, generations gathered together, and an encouraging message! We dove deeper into Acts chapter 4 learning how the early church lived united in Christ. “Of ONE heart and soul, the early church was UNITED in Him!” - Pastor Josh
We are praying that God continues to deepen your understanding and faith as you seek Him this week. We are also praying that our church continues to reflect God’s design!
Let’s continue to journey together! See you at our small groups and midweek gatherings!
Jesus wants to be your friend! This past Sunday, we talked about the importance of spiritual friendship. You can watch the full message on our website!
Join us tomorrow as we dive deeper into Acts chapter 4!
Sisterhood! We are three days away from our Tables of 8 gathering. There is still time to find a table near you! We hope you will join the women of our church community for a time of connection and encouragement!
We worship even when:
- we are struggling financially
- we are grieving
- we are sick
- we don't know what to do
Our God is faithful even in our lowest moments. He is there with us and for us.
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 41:1
Let's gather together tomorrow and worship a faithful God!
Today we celebrate not only our nation's independence, but also the freedom we have in Christ! As we gather with family and friends, let's remember that true liberty comes from Him who gave everything so that we might live more abundantly. 🇺🇸🙏
July is here! Mark your calendars for these special dates. 📆
“Knowing Jesus changes us.”
Change is inevitable.
With Jesus, change is good! A relationship with Jesus changes us for the better! The closer we get to Him, the more we reflect His character.
Pastor Josh communicated a necessary truth yesterday from Acts 4:13-22. You can watch it for the first time or on repeat through our website!
Sundays just aren’t the same without you. ✨
See you tomorrow church! 🤗
Jesus is the ONLY way.
This is the truth that our faith is built on.
We heard a challenging and encouraging message on Sunday from Acts 4:1-12. If you missed it, or just want to hear it again, you can find it on our website or Youtube channel!

🙌 SO MUCH BETTER!
This past Sunday, we were encouraged by the testimony in Acts 3:1-10 that God wants to do something so much better in our life than what we ask for. Many times God answers our prayers in a different way or timing than we anticipate. When was a time in your own life where this was true? Send this to a friend who needs some encouragement today.
🌟 What an incredible Sunday at church! 🙏 Pastor Stephen delivered a compelling message today from Acts chapter 3 that truly spoke to the heart. It's amazing how timeless and relevant the teachings from the Bible are. Who needs to hear your story?
And we can’t forget the THREE people who went public with their faith with water baptism! Feeling blessed and inspired to start the week with a renewed sense of purpose and faith. 📖✨
Find your community! 👥
There's still time to join a group. Summer small groups kick off on Sunday! ☀️
