The Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities, headquartered in Syracuse, N.Y., lead our school and serve as staff and faculty for our Pre-K through 6th grade student body. We are a Franciscan Catholic School that originally served the African-American community and today is open to all families. Our school logo represents the interconnectedness of our Franciscan and Black American heritag

We were able to celebrate National Public Works Week with our friends from the City of Greenville, South Carolina Government Public Works Department. We are so grateful that you brought the parade of trucks to our school so we can understand the great things you do in our community and see the people and equipment that helps our city stay clean and safe.
Thank you to Mr. Chris Rucci for talking to our 2nd graders today about your job as a pilot, letting us see your plane, and clarifying some of our curiosities about flying. It's possible we may have a few pilots coming from this class! Thanks Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU) in South Carolina for having us on campus!

Ms. Mary & Ms. Paula from the St. Anthony "Green Space" ministry visited with our students this Monday to celebrate Earth Day. They talked about ways we can take better care of our environment and even shared seed packets and a crossword puzzle so we could spend some time at home talking about ways to reduce, reuse, & recycle! Thanks Mary & Paula for spending your Earth Day with us!
Just an “Old School” recess kind of day here at St Anthony with Ring around the Rosie and Duck, Duck Goose! Hope you’re enjoying this weather as much as our kiddos are! Have a great weekend!

Happy Easter from the faculty, staff, and students of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School.
We were honored to have Senator Karl Allen join our students and faculty today as our guest speaker for Black History Month. Senator Allen shared about his desire to help people at an early age and decided becoming an attorney and politician was the best way he could do that. His words of encouragement, humor, and even some cool dance moves serve as an excellent reminder to all of us that we are the only obstacles that can get in the way of achieving our own dreams! Thank you, Senator Allen, for inspiring us this afternoon!
This past Wednesday, our students and staff joined Fr. Mwape for a blessing on the new Early Childhood playground. We hope this space will bless the bodies and minds of our littlest ones with recreation and rejuvenation for years to come. Thank you to all of our donors who supported this project and to Usa-Play for being great partners from start to finish.
Nakisha McKinney, PreK Director, proudly displays the 30 Year Partnership Plaque that was awarded to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School from ABC Quality and the SC Department of Social Services during last week's South Carolina Early Childhood Educator Conference. We are so grateful to those visionaries from our earlier days who sought every opportunity possible to support the students in our school community.
Celebrate Black History Month with us at St. Anthony of Padua! A list of upcoming events can be found on the flyer below!

Last week, our students jumped at the opportunity to support some of their peers across the Carolinas who are battling cancer. Donning their favorite Christmas hat (or antlers), students and staff raised $175 for this most worthy cause. We are so grateful for the work Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas does to support children and their families in the fight against cancer.
It's almost here! Please join us Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 6:30pm for our performance of "A Christmas Carol". This event is open to the community and is only $5/pp. Tickets are available at the door or online at https://book.stripe.com/9AQ5nK7wafgRbzqfYY
Last Thursday, November 30, our school community gathered for a celebration of National Black Catholic History Month. During this time, our 4th and 5th graders shared information about six Black Catholics who are currently on the path to sainthood within the Church. Mary Corner, Director of Administration at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, shared her experience of meeting then, Sr. Thea Bowman, during a visit to St. Anthony many years ago. Finally, our students honored Venerable Thea Bowman through liturgical dance. This was truly a great celebration of our faith as we concluded Black Catholic History Month.
